I loved this movie. If you're a little girl or just have the heart of a little girl (I have one pinned to my wall) you'll love Enchanted.

I had read the script many years ago and remembered liking it, but the movie really translated well - enough adult humor and satire for the grownups and enough magic for the kids.

And Amy Adams - she's the main reason this film works so well - she's going to be huge - Jodie Foster, Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Meg Ryan (in the day) huge. I just love her.

Even if you're a big tough bully boy - you'll love this movie.

:google :eek :D

This movie looks funny, I'm taking my wife and two nieces to see it.

I've liked Amy Adams since her first appearance on the U.S. Office, she's beautiful and she was great in Talladega Nights. :rock

I know, I mean I HOPE you mean something else, but that just came out so bad. hehe

Sorry Dave, but if you read the first paragraph to this thread you would have to give it a second, and third.. oh heck.. I just don't get it.

*scrams out of this thread*

On the movie, Enchanted has been getting some amazing reviews on rottentomatoes.com

Hahaha, I have been waiting for days to see if anyone would start a thread on this. Thank god you did, Dave!!
I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I enjoyed this movie so much!! And I had no girls see it with me. Just my 17 year old cousin who's a guy. We both liked it a lot. The songs were pretty catchy. It just brings me back to the days of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King and Little Mermaid. Alright, I admit I'm a big Disney nut when it comes to the animated feature films so it was a given that I'd like the movie. I just haven't felt this way since seeing Lion King in the theaters for the first time when I was young. :D

Jeez, it was a joke - can't have you all thinking I'm just a big girl.

But UT, you're right - Enchanted feels like a throwback to the glory days of Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast, but with an ironic twist. It's funny I never really noticed Adams before, although I've seen most of everything she's been in (except her Academy award nominated role).

I still don't get it. :monkey3

Just bugging you Dave. We can't tease back? :monkey1

Batty does make a great point though. There's the whole Tonner doll collector thing you got going on. hehe

I'm confident enough to collect Tonner dolls and admit I like Disney musicals. I don't have to brag about how I've mistreated women to prove I'm a man.
:chew

When i saw the trailer i was really surprised to see the proper disney 2d animation but when my youngest sister ask me to take her to see i fained being deaf.

I haven't mistreated any woman. They mistreat me. :)

And when did I say that? lol

Where the heck did that come from?

*shakes his head*

Unless that comment is made to ***** in general. Lots of lousy sobs there that shouldn't be in relationships with women, but are. Anyway, that is another story for another time. To be honest I am somewhat intrigued by all the positive talk about the movie.

I'm taking the girl I nanny for next week with a group of her friends.....I get to see all the kid movies with her so it's nice when there are some that are also entertaining for the adults. :)

Yeah, these films are great when they appeal to just about anybody. I don't think I would enjoy anything related to Bratz(saw that there was a trailer for it in front of Harry Potter this summer), Hannah Montana or those High school musicals movies. Those just look too kiddie. :lol

Thank God she did not want to see Bratz. That is one I would have had to say no to. :lol I had to go to the Hannah Montana concert when she was here....thousands of screaming young girls....my ears will never be the same.:monkey2

I'm sorry you had to go to that.:monkey2
I've heard horror stories of parents going to the ends of the earth paying hundreds of dollars to see that Hannah Montana live. I just don't get it! That could go to many SSC items:D
But of course I don't have a daughter so maybe I shouldn't be too quick to judge the Montana craze yet.

I don't get it either...when I was that age (7ish)I was into KISS, Donna Summer and Michael Jackson. No teeny-bob music for me. :lol :lol Well......I did like Rick Springfield....but then what female didn't rock out to Jesse's Girl back in the day. :lol

I saw this movie last Friday. I took my five year old daughter and some friend's. We all enjoyed it a lot. That big musical number in the middle (That's How You Know) is still in my head. The only thing that would have made this movie perfect would be ZOMBIE'S!!!!!
