I am new to the 1/16th game only have been in it for 1 1/2 years. I do not know much about Enterbay, but my impression is that their products are inferior to HT’s. This is solely based on the Jack Sparrow and Godfather comparisons from both companies. Two figures of personal interest and through my research discovered both have made them. I have also read that Enterbay is slightly more expensive. So moving forward and reading fans excitement about EB Men in Black and Terminator BD products. Has EB stepped up there game? Or are fans accepting second rate figures and hight $$$.

Again I am not too familiar with EB and I don’t mean to bash them.

Is there a site where I can see EB products and comparisons.

www.enterbay.com

The general census is pretty bias towards Enterbay. They're a relatively small company and it's kind of funny to see a big company like Hot Toys continually bully them with releases or follow their tracks to make something. I mean imitation is just another form of flattery right?

Hot Toys was formed in 2000 and Enterbay was formed few years later.

I've only started to collect around the time they pushed out the new Bruce Lee Game of Death set. I purchased one and immediately had problems, but they were alleviated by the company later on via replacements.

At the moment, they are pushing out very impression collections of figures and I see them going up in popularity and quality. Things you might want to look for right now to judge the quality of their products: Scarface Respect Version/ War Version, Elvis Presley, Che Guevara, T2 T-800 and the upcoming releases for Rambo, Men In Black, Bruce Lee Big Boss and The Dark Knight.

in regards to Jack Sparrow, one must Remember that is was an Ultimate Unison figure (medicom and Enterbay working together) in which Enterbay was only responsible for the sculpt, everything else was Medicom. I feel like a broken record here but ppl are quick to say that it's a solely Enterbay figure when it's a mostly medicom figure with an Enterbay headsculpt

I'm pretty impressed with EB. Their Che and Scarface figures are amazing. I have allot of Hot Toys, but EB's Che sculpt for me is the most impressive sculpt i've seen from the big 1/6 companies.

In short, Enterbay has turned me into one of their fans. I will be purchasing more EB figures.

Overall, I think enterbay's quality in terms of sculpt is not as good or as accurate as hot toys. I collected enterbay when they released the very first GOD bruce lee figure. It looked nothing like their prototype and was kind of crappy. So far, EB has had many, many chances at bruce lee , and non measure up to the hot toys version of bruce in terms of likeness and accuracy in the final product.(Note: Hot Toys got bruce right the first time!).

Their Jack Sparrow didn't quite measure up to hot toys and neither did their Godfather figure. (I know it was a joint effort between medicom and EB as far as Jack Sparrow is concerned, but if Enterbay is willing to risk their quality and reputation with a partner who's quality is at times questionable, then thats a reflection of EB's bad business decisions and poor judgement.) So far, their scarface respect version figure doesn't measure up to blitzway's version in terms of sculpt and quality of materials IMO. Plus EB does some weird gimmicks with their figures, such as drilling holes in the head-sculpts to fit sunglasses, making them talk, etc.

though Hot toys seems to be milking their licenses and selling out certain members of their collector base, I'd stick with Hot toys over EB any day of the week in terms of likeness, sculpt and final production consistency to prototype.

Enterbay started in 2006 and are a tiny manufacturer with only a handful or releases compared to Hot Toys (https://www.hottoys.jp/categories/search/page:1/t:catalog) I have the Enterbay T2 Terminator and Che and they are pretty good but are pretty expensive for what they are. The paint is comparable to DID, but the accessories', body and clothing tend to be lower quality than what HT, DID and others offer.

Things to be aware of:

Enterbay Care and Maintainance

The action body should be adjusted to the natural standing position and store at room temperature, avoid over-exposure to the sun and humidity. Long stretching of the plastic and high temperature may accelerate aging of plastics and causing cracks in the surface. It is suggest that the action body should not to have long-term contact with other objects (including the costume*), to avoid adhesion and staining.
In addition, please do not use your hand or any hard objects to rub against the rubber body, this might caused damage to the surface.

* The long term contact between the fabric and the action body may cause stained, this is a normal reaction when having fabric against the plastic materials.

Their Jack Bauer is one of the best HS likenesses by any company. :dunno

I have 2 EB figures, 55 HTs, 4 SS.

Who do I think is better, see my previous sentence :wave

Good luck with your 1:6 collecting things are improving by the month.

You know what i don't understand is why people want to compare what ENterbay did in the past with what Hot toys is doing in the present.Nobody seems to remember Hot toys when they started out in 2000 with their bull____ looking figures. It seems that both companies had their share of down and ups with some ups being more successful than others.IMO Enterbay is starting to fit in its skin and utilize their skills better with recent sculpts being proof of that.I use to love everything that Hot Toys made but recently with their announcements getting more and more boring,I'm starting to appreciate and anticipate all of Enterbay's latest and upcoming releases more!If asked which is better,i would say all of Hot Toys earlier MMS releases and all of the recent and upcoming Enterbay releases.I think so anyway!^_^

I think seeing as EB are just a pretty small company they are pretty good, But I'm not a fan of their 1/6 figures. Their 1/4 figures so far appear to be superior to HT's 1/6's in quality, although we are yet to see what HT's 1/4 attempt will be like. But if I'm right, EB's figures seem to be less Mass-Produced and more 'Limited Edition' to say

Agreed. But with the most recent comparisons between EB and hot toys figures going head to head(such as Jack Sparrow and Godfather), Hot toys seems to beat them out IMO in terms of sculpt and soft good accessories. Also, the leon figure is recent too, but it's also a little off on sculpt IMO and it's body proportions look a little weird(i.e. giraffe neck).

I saw the EB Leon on display at a hobby store a few weeks ago. The head sculpt was average and the body had a “doll” feel appeal to it. A little off proportion.

Their base body wasn't good with that release. The RM4 is average. But I think the new RM5 is pretty top tier especially the ankles with a single ball joint rather than Hot Toy's dumbell ankles.

I have a few EB and HT. They're both about the same to me. Just that some people are just die hard HT on this forum and people who are open to stuff are finally seeing how good the latest EB stuff is turning out to be.

But still, we gotta see Enterbay's Batman suit and see how they deal with rubber issues that have been plaguing Hot Toys as of late. Because all of their rubber stuff is only good to look at but not really pose like Black Widow and Jill's suits. Batman suits getting oily and attracting mad dust.

I think EB's strongest points are the head sculpts and paint applications and possibly the attires for some of the sets.

All about the figures for me got about 6 from enterbay and would not part with them........maybe kato, but scarface(War) che and god bruce lee 2011 are outstanding figures and still have respect and elvis on the way, enterbay for me are the more interesting company, looking forward to seeing hot toys hulk and elias from platoon but not alot else

Enterbay take far more risks than Hot Toys and this generally results in two things:

1) Epic successes like the T2 1/4 figure that blows everyones mind and pushes the entire collecting market in new directions

2) Epic failures like the GoD3 with its new rubber body that was a debacle and resulted in a lot of ill feelings

....and then there is their factory QC issues, but since the Terminator came out so well (and Leon and Scarfacex2 I think, right?) I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they've now got that under control.

Enterbay generally deserve both the lavish praise and harsh criticsm they get.

i love enterbay this past year they are the only company that has released something i actually wanted, but my scarface had a chipped piece of paint and my seller offered to send it to enterbay for a replacement, and they sent terminator glasses instead, still waiting

Don't forget Iron Monger. Can't wait for that piece to come out, just won't know where to put it. But yeah, aside from that and maybe the Samurai Predator, I don't see much else coming from Hot Toys that interests me so far.
