She is wearing the belt Catwoman style. In the 66 TV series Julie Newmar wore the belt lower down instead at the waist, she had it cut to wear across her hips. Was supposed to show the sexy nature of Catwoman.
Well it was also the early 2000s when sexy low-cut jeans were all the rage with the ladies (sigh, I really miss those days).

You HAVE the cure…. It is UNETHICAL of you to withhold it!

(I almost passed out! 🤣🤣🤣)

Dude like people LIKE that stuff? That kind of garbage is part of what ruined Enterprise.

I was a TEEN when it was out (well like 19 or something? When the heck did this show come out?). Possibly it's target audience, though apparently it's QuiGonFishing age which I imagine is a 70 year old creepy dude lol  . But man these scenes were forced, they never added anything to the story, and were ill conceived.

Seriously, just go watch some ****. We don't have to make everything as horny as possible. Just like how horniness leads to people making bad decisions in real life, it often leads to people making stupid stories in works of fiction.

I'm not saying it can't serve a point or progress a story. Game of Thrones handles it very well in the books. Strange New Worlds is basically the runway model version of Star Trek (whatever ***! Have you seen Pike's HAIR? I'm a straight dude but that stuff is hawt!) but you don't see them lathering eachother up with space-goo while half naked....

Every time I see these trash scenes the story suddenly is basically ****-level quality.
"Oh no I need to... decontaminate... please rub this space-goo all over my space-body... senpai! (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ "

😂 the QuiGon comment!

I'll add to your comment- Seven of Nines costume was a little.embarassing too. Good thing Geri Ryan was such a good actress & Seven such a well.written character! The episode where she wore a regular Starfleet uniform looked just fine. Like when Troi got one.
Oh Rick Berman 😂

I think you are exaggerating. :) When Enterprise first aired, I also disliked it and even gave up on the series for a few years. When I finally watched all four seasons in one go, Enterprise became my favourite show. Yes, they sometimes tried to be sexy, but I see nothing wrong with that. Today, shows freely show full frontal nudity, masturbation and erections, and you think a few people in underwear is outrageous? :-D In today's perspective, it's on the level of Teletubbies. I will always prefer sexy style to sexual style.

To me, the problem was that it just wasn't sexy. It was more like a couple of guys who read Penthouse letters and thought they knew what sexy was. It was the equivalent of a girl slapping your man meat against her cheek and spitting on it because she saw it in a **** video.

TOS was sexy. TNG was VERY sexy. DS9 could get legit steamy. SNW is sexy.
Trek can be sexy. But throwing women into skintight catsuits and having them rub "decon gel" all over each other is an adolescents idea of sexy.

Well, I wrote that they tried, not that they succeeded 100%. :) I agree that they went too far and that it was a bit too shallow. But for me to dismiss the whole series because of ten scenes in 100 episodes seems really excessive. And I'm just saying that compared to a lot of sci-fi and fantasy shows today, it's actually quite innocent. But that's just me, of course. :)

Oh, yeah, I still like Enterprise. It's just that those scenes are painful to watch now.
Maybe in another 20 years they will be more funny, though. Kind of like the way I laughed when Kirk threatened to spank Elaan.

I see the appeal more in her owning the entire catsuit thing with her competence and performance, which I think Jolene achieves a lot of the time despite the mental kind of material they give her that does ultimately smother those better qualities, like that one bit in Season One. The one where T'pol's trying to get out of some cuffs and ends up doing a full body dive onto Archer that just smashes her breasts (fake) onto his face. Made me pause the episode for a second because I was astounded by it.

And in keeping to the thread topic I will get T'Pol when she's up for pre-order and hope that we eventually get a Trip or even a Phlox (HOPING TO GOD.)

As a man of honor, I grant you last words. In this case, a last post, before final judgement is cast and I must rain down the inevitable upon you. Make it count…

It's still weird to me that for the majority of the series, she had no ranking or insignia on her uniform whatsoever, despite being a bridge officer and second in command.

That was strange. I mean, if I recall, she got rank pins in the 4th season, right?
