EXO-6 Star Trek “The Motion Picture (TMP)” Figures

I love the QMX crew! I like the new figures too, but that Disco Bones is too freaking big regardless of how good he looks on his own. They all need to be in scale together for this to work correctly. I’m disappointed right now and can only hope going forward this doesn’t happen again.

You will see when they are next to each other. I was concerned even with the review pictures but yea the head is not really to scale with the other figures . What is baffling is he was working on Bones for months and yet he let the body and head through without redoing the size.

The outfit needed to be redone twenty times. That was clearly Nanjin's priority. It always is. And don't get me wrong, I appreciate the attention to detail in the outfits, but it should not come at the expense of things like body size, the portrait, eye color, hair color, etc. Unfortunately, it does.

Very disappointing. You really cannot put them side by side . This should have been clearly seen. I compared the photo head size next to the figures and you can see the difference. Even the body on McCoy is badly off . As if McCoy went weightlifting. Kelly was never muscular guy.

On a more positive note, the sculpture, clothing, paint are excellent for this price point

Glad I passed on this one. I pre-ordered so ultimately lost my $20 but it just looks too odd.

It is actually a very solid likeness and very screen accurate clothing but the bulk of the body and the head size are the problem.

I don’t think I can even get TMP Bones a new body as the head is not going to work without the chest piece.. look at the width of the shoulder compared to Kirk

I was mainly speaking for myself. I figured it would look cool with the other TMP figures but the more I looked at pics of the figure I just felt he would stand out but not in a good way. The beard and necklace just don't gel with the sci-fi looks of the other figures. I really wish all that development had been put into an Ilia figure.

This is the kind of crap that happens when a 1/6 scale figure producer is more concerned about getting the outfits right than anything else.

I have to disagree. I think the likeness is very poor on Disco Bones. The QMx Bones sculpt is much better. QMx figures in general have better likenesses than their EXO-6 counterparts but the bodies and uniforms are just atrocious. I'm very glad I passed on this one. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the worst figures to date from EXO-6.

As the old saying goes” beauty is n the eyes of the beholder.” I think the actual sculpt and clothing are actually on point but the other issues are hard to overcome when the head is 1-2MM larger than the other 2 TMP figures

I doubt the special torso would be used on a limited run figure when most would use it with the TWoK poloneck. Moderate your expectations!

I got all my custom figures sized for QMX. The problem with the TMP figures seems to be more that Kirk and Spock had heads that are slightly smaller than QMX. Decker, Ilia, and Rand have big heads compared to Kirk and Spock.

Well that’s unfortunate and I really hope they fix the scale issue going forward.

You misunderstand. I didn't say that EXO-6 would reuse that upper torso. I have no doubt that the TWOK sickbay McCoy will use a regular torso and neck because of the turtleneck, so if someone wants to remove the turtleneck for a TMP McCoy in uniform, I said that the body from Disco McCoy should be used to show off the chest hair and old man neck just like Deforest Kelley did in that first movie.

I'm looking at the doll'ish poofy diaper clothing which is making their bodies look meh. Especially Spock. And the heads which look a tad too big compared to them, probably because of the diaper poofy shirts and necks that don't look super connected.

Yeah there is a chance of a body being on Toy Anxiety eventually, I guess, for the two of us that care.... I will likely get TWoK McCoy rather than risking white McCoy never getting made.

His head is big in the film - big head on skinny body - and I still think the EXO likeness is way off, very cartoonish - the facial hair looks like it was sculpted by someone who'd never actually seen a moustache or beard but was working to a vague brief. "Think of a face, now add a browny slug." The body on the EXO is way too buff.
