Will retailers have Saru as well? Or does immediate purchase mean it will be exclusive to the EXO-6 site?
Update on my earlier question in case anyone is curious. Retailers do have access to Saru. My usual shop had them for order right at noon as well.

Just pre-ordered Saru. Really cool that I'll have my version of a complete Discovery collection soon.

I really want to be…. You have no idea how much a want to be, but I’m just not sold on the Burnham sculpt. She looks too much like a Barbie to me in an exquisite uniform. Somebody tell me it’s just the photos 🙏.

Saru ordered!

The speed Exo-6 is getting figures into our hands is amazing! The only way it could really get any faster would be if Nanjin himself just randomly knocked on my door and had his next release in hand for sale, completely unannounced of course.

A theoretical Airiam would actually be in my top 10 wanted list across the whole ST franchise. That said, I really don't expect her to be made.

As of today, my Discovery collection is more or less 'closed' with Burnham and Saru. Would consider a 'prime' Georgiou but not super interested in Empress

I’m not sure if Nanjin is using a spore drive or not, but I just got a shipped notification for Saru. 🤯🤯🤯

OK, newbie on the forum and I wanted to post a comment on EXO-6's Michael Burnham figure. I received the EXO-6 Michael Burnham figure a few days ago. I ordered my copy from Timewalker. Seems they sent me an early copy. The figure is really nicely done. The accessories are crisp and clean well painted. The only problems I had were that the tricorder scanner didn't lock in place and would fall out. But I found this small foam plastic piece on my table and I "think" that it was a spacer so I used that and things worked out. The 2nd problem was the belt. They use a tab to lock it in place and while they warn you about that in the EXO-6 video on YouTube it was a real pain to seat. But I used their trick of tweezers and worked it out. The foregrip on the phaser rifle is very loose but I post Michael with the rifle raised on the right hand while talks into the communicator held in her left hand. I can recommend the figure it is well portioned and the face looks great. This is the 3rd EXO figure I have. I also have Captains Picard and Janeway. I plan to get all the captains plus I hope they will do the entire TOS crew eventually.

Yeah I will agree that belt was an absolute pain to put on. And in fact I probably won't even bother with it for Saru (athough I don't think he really wore it much anyway).

I have her. You’re not wrong IMO. Recognisable but paint and sculpt a bit soft. Head is a bit thin—reminiscent of a Barbie, I suppose. Steady progress in this arena wins the day. Q is excellent. Expect further refinements with additional releases. Go EXO6!

I really appreciate the honest opinion. I just ordered Saru because I had ZERO reservations about that amazing figure!

I too wish EXO nothing but success, but I honestly think a lot of us are just tip toeing around Nanjin afraid to tick him off with well meaning criticism. One would hope respectful but honest feedback would be encouraged since we’re the ones supporting the company, but that doesn’t seem to be the case a lot of the time if we’re being real.

MANY of EXOs current projects look absolutely incredible, but I wish we wouldn’t be afraid (as someone said in a prior post) “to call balls and strikes” on ANY company involved in this joyous but expensive hobby.

One Jedi Master’s opinion.

This is why I should step away. All well known producers advised me to do this. They said I will eventually go through a quitting phase. All of them experienced because all of them started out as a passion work.

And for me, all my venture started out because I was pissed. Well documented here on SSF.

We all should thank Chris Howe for pissing me off. Otherwise, nothing could have happened.

Leaving SSF is good for business too. Just that i don't want to change my attitude. Attitude changed, everything changed. Don't know if it will be good or bad. I might end up just like all these producers.

After all, moving away is an unavoidable fate.

BTW, take note. Everytime i am pissed, things get better. Attitude only. Doesn't mean I am not smart enough to identify issues and take actions.

Nanjin, without you, 1/6 Trek would simply not exist. The debt we all owe you is immeasurable. Your passion is what keeps this entire venture alive, and we can’t thank you enough for helping to make our dreams come true.

There is no way at all that you could be so driven and so passionate about what you do and what you bring to us all for you to not take it all personally. Simply no way.

My only hope is for you to understand that the feedback we offer you (in those rare times when we’re not elated and jumping for joy at the release of a new Nanjin inspired piece) is offered humbly and with the DEEPEST respect for both you and your work. We all share the desire to have access to the very best 1/6 Trek possible. We hope we can help in that endeavor by letting you know directly what we absolutely love, and what we might hope could be improved upon.

I for one also celebrate the generous contribution of your time in participating in these forums. Fan access to a lead producer of the pieces we love bringing home and adding to our collections is a gift that is exceedingly rare. I salute you for engaging with us as proficiency as you do, and I hope my humble post above will not give you cause to retreat.

It must be an unimaginable challenge not to take criticism of one’s passion as a personal criticism, but I swear to you here and now, my admiration and appreciation of who you are and what you mean to this community FAR exceed any passing comment I, or any of my colleagues in collector’s poverty, might make about a head sculpt we might not be quite as much in love with as another.

Cheers, my friend. Keep shining brightly.

Nanjin, I can totally understand how creators/owners/companies leave can forums but I really hope you stay.

If it’s too hard to be a part of the entire Star Trek section maybe we could create a separate thread for you where you could go and post and share with us and then you could just ignore the other threads? Just an idea.

Nanjin,
As much passion as you have for Star Trek, it seems as if you have another one…to open a school. I am a teacher who works with 8 year olds and I understand your commitment. I spent a couple weeks in the classroom this summer painting and creating an environment that would excite and inspire children. Your journey after Exo-6 will be one of fulfillment and rewards.
I also think when you come on these boards and share with us, you are teaching us. We are learning the challenges and constraints you deal with as well as the achievements. One of my challenges is dealing with parents and every year there is always one who makes me question why I am in this profession. But I remember the why and realize I will not please every parent. And that’s alright. I do my best to educate them as well as their children and most of the time it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
I hope you continue to stay on these forums and educate us about Exo-6. Perhaps in that discourse, we can learn to be civil and thoughtful about our comments and spread that to others. There is a way to give constructive criticism but not everyone knows how. I believe there are many members here who are so appreciative and hope for the chance to learn from you, stand with you on this journey and defend you from unnecessary attacks.
I hope you give us the opportunity.

I really have to commend the logistics behind Exo-6.
I ordered a couple of in stock figures from a different site based in China last week, got the shipping notification but no updates on the tracking as of yet (pretty par for the course to wait 1-2 weeks for things to show).

Exo-6 though? Saru shipping from China, got dispatch notification today, can already see it moving.

Amazing stuff with the state of global logistics right now.

The school is for physical disabled children. No one will ask me questions because no one cares. They are more like ophrans. I only have to comply with the local government regulations, and they will love to change any rules for me so they can get rid of these kids.

I already planned the route with the less fuss and maximum benefits.

This will be a confidence building school just like my factory.
