Love and heartfelt wishes to Kirstie Alley on her final journey to the stars. May her heavenly home be brightened by her eternal presence
Very sad news, like the pic. As much as I’d prefer the Robin Curtis version as a figure - I’d be down with this look too.Love and heartfelt wishes to Kirstie Alley on her final journey to the stars. May her heavenly home be brightened by her eternal presence

For the record, I never liked Robin Curtis's Saavik. I much preferred Kirstie Alley.
Looks brilliant, star of the show for TOS IMO.

The EXO-6 body is a little wonky in proportions. I don't think it's particularly skinny, but the pelvis and thighs are very long so everything from the waist down is oddly proportioned leading to a tall or slender appearance. You should see how noticeable this is on the Mirror Spock figure. He sure seems tall and thin for a 1/6 rendition the 5’ 10” Shatner. Will Spock be taller ?

Am I missing something? Cattrall didn’t play Saavik…For the record, I never liked Kim Cattrall's Saavik. I much preferred Kirstie Alley and Robin Curtis. I lamented the move away from the half-Romulan angle that could have made Curtis much more interesting and a longer term prospect as a character. Catrall has all the emotional range of a half Romulan but none of the ale.
It’s a pretty common mistake, oddly enough: people thinking Valeris was Saavik. If I remember rightly, the original character was intended to be Saavik but they changed their minds.Am I missing something? Cattrall didn’t play Saavik…
Might be a reference to how it was supposed to be Saavik in the story betraying her crewmates as a member of the conspiracy. Two explanations have been given over the years: Either Alley/Curtis was not available and they were reluctant to recast yet again……or Roddenberry vetoed the idea of one of the established good guys turning bad. Depends who you ask. So they created a new young Vulcan female to fit the story.Am I missing something? Cattrall didn’t play Saavik…
I would not put it past a half-Romulan who saw her friend get murdered, but that heritage was never made explicit in the films.Probably for the best as I can't imagine either Saavik behaving the way Valeris does in the movie.
