First ever post to this forum! Thinking about picking this guy up considering I missed the DiD one. I prefer DiD quality (I have Cpt. Miller and Lehman) but this seems to be stepping things up a notch.
The Facepool Upham looked great imo. The face does seem a bit off though. And the DiD hair was better and closer cropped on the sides. But it’s close. The extra open mouth sculpt doesn’t look great in my opinion, prefer mouth closed. If this had the DiD blue eyes it would’ve been nearly nailed. The Sherman Cuppola is going to be badass.

Welcome! (from a fellow new poster) I agree, I prefer DiD quality but this figure looks awesome and I pre-ordered immediately.

My impressions of the Facepool figures I've gotten:
Winters (love it)
Sniper Jackson (likeness to Barry Pepper isn't there but good face - I think of it as some random guy. Bell tower diorama is amazing)
Upham (head sculpt not good at all, this one disappointed me a lot)
Ryan (likeness also not there, but less egregious than Upham)

Very excited for Wardaddy and the 2 teased figures of Wade and Buck Compton

DiD has provided the better of the sculpts, specifically Miller and Jackson, in my opinion. The Facepool sculpts are not bad but the paint apps are better on the DiD ones.

Winters was an excellent sculpt that suffered a drop in paint apps between the prototype and production figure. It looks good but not as amazing as the prototype.

As far as "Wardaddy", I'm not yet sure if I'll get it. The film was ok but not a classic for me, as SPR and the BoB series are. If Facepool plans to release the rest of the Sherman crew, then I definitely would be tempted, though.

The cuppola is a must-have. I already have a custom tanker figure from long ago but if priced reasonably, I would be tempted in getting a second one, along with Wardaddy.

I've never owned a Facepool figure, as I've always waited for pictures of the final released product and never liked their end results but, this figure looks way better than the DiD version and is more accurate too, the sherman coupla is pretty neat similar to what DiD did with the Michael wittmann turret. I never knew he had those little pinups on the handle of the revolver pretty cool detail that DiD missed.

This is still the one I look forward to the most because it's based on a pretty famous news reel.

For me, I’ve purchased (and been happy with) most of the Facepool figures. I’ll for sure get Wardaddy as I’ve always wanted an American tanker ( don’t care about the movie).
Now imagine if they ever made a Sgt. Oddball! Man, that would be great.

I received my special edition yesterday from Giantoy so I'll share some in-hand pics showing the 2 head sculpts and 2 helmets.

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this figure in terms of how it stacks up to the promo photos, but what do you think?
