Fair trade: HT Hicks for HT Scar ???

Hey guys. I really would like to have a HT Scar Predator but really expensive right now in the secondary market, but I do have a HT Hicks that is also selling for high amount on the secondary market. Would it be a fair trade for a MINT in sealed box HT Hicks for a mint in box or loose Scar Predator?

I think Scar and Celtic command a higher selling price now days than Hicks.

I have a MIB Celtic that Id trade you for your hicks plus a little cash

I think it's a fair trade. I have both and the Predators are larger and more unique than the Marines. You could also make a Hicks with a spare HT body, Apone's costume (identity patches might be a problem) and armor, a Motion Tracker from one of the upcoming Hudson or Ripley figures, Ripley's locater, a shotgun from Dragon or whomever, you'd have to make your own shotgun holster, and lastly a painted Frontline Hicks head or a repainted Hot Toys' Vietnam Seal Stoner head (and the body wouldn't hurt). Then you'd only have to paint a heart on the chest armor.

Hicks mostly only costs about $150-195....mostly.

Hey, idea...poor man's Hicks...
Find CM armor, get the better, more likeness based, HT Stoner head (How apropo that name is now that I've met him!) and work him up!
Stoner head on mine...

Not easy, no box, but the parts are out there. An Apone has generic uniform at least...
Just an idea. The other bits can be cobbled up. The shotgun and the chest armor bits...

I was thinking getting any more generic armor and reworking it to Hicks style. Some Ebay vendors still sell some HT CM parts. Some....

The armor is Identical on Apone, only differences are a pad lock on the chest armor (Apone has the latch mechanism, which is inaccurate) a heart painted under the latch, the Apone name painted on the front chest armor instead of Hicks, and the bullethole painted on his left shoulder armor with the words "Born again".
Apone is much cheaper then Hicks, but that name tag on the chest might be a problem.

It's a bit inaccurate but it's what most people used before Hot Toys started making them. Personally, I'd try and either find a Hicks or customize an Apone set.

I have a feeling buying all the parts separate, then having the stoner head repainted is going to end up costing more than the secondary market price of an original hicks....

Man I think someone was looking out for me. Happend to be browsing a site early this morning at around 5am and saw the Hicks figure said "in stock". Checked out into my cart and got him. I was wondering if this was a mistake but I just called and they confirmed my order! booyah!

Glad you got your Hicks though Nash. THat is cool!
I still am all about that Stoner head replacement though Nash. Trust me. You cannot get that helmet on the provided "Reese" head that comes with Hicks, and you can on the Stoner, and Stoner IS M Biehn...AS Hicks. And it's automatically a HT, so it fits. DO IT! You'll be glad you did. Get one soon. Trust me on this one.
