Fairly certain someone has broken some of my figures purposely.

I've had my usual yearly cold and with nothing much else to do was just cleaning some of my collectibles. I display my figures in a besta cabinet and they are behind glass but the doors can easily be opened. Two of the figures right next to each other have both suddenly got snapped leg joints , both on different legs but in same spot. The break looks as if they've been purposely snapped. I've got figures I've had much longer than these and this hasn't happened to any of the joints , they're not even loose.

Am I being paranoid and could this be a coincidence, I don't follow threads on hot toys bodies but is this a common problem , especially a full on snap like this ?. The thing is , I've got a pretty good idea who might have done this if they truly did and I'm going to mention it to them without making any accusations just to see their face next time I see them.

What leads me to believe this has been done on purpose.

* The snap looks forced.
* It's two figures right next to each other.
* They're both in the same part of the besta.
* They're in the part of the cabinet farthest away from the door ( so as not to be seen ).
* As mentioned I have a feeling I know who might do something like this.

There's one other possibility besides just crappy bodies ( unlikely considering they're real hot toys ) and someone snapping them.
I have a heating pipe close to the side where they were snapped but it only gets warm and you can't even feel the cabinet heating up never mind the figures so this is massively unlikely. Also the legs that snapped were those furthest away from any tiny tiny amount of possible heat.

Obviously I'll have to cough up for some new bodies now , just keep an eye on your stuff would be my advice. If this person I'm suspecting truly did do this , never in a million years would have I imagined this until recently.

I hate to say it but I really believe that's been done on purpose mate. I really just can't believe that's natural. Really sucks mate! :(

This is a quite common hot toys break. If you live with people who you fear delibrately did this, its time to move out.

Oh Tay, how sad.

I find it hard to believe that TWO of these broke like that at the same time or very close together. And unless they were in a pose that caused a lot of stress on the joint, I would say they were broke on purpose.

Wow they definitely look like they've been snapped on purpose... sorry to hear that. Who would do that? Break their legs now :lecture

:lol Thanks guys , if they did admit it which I doubt they would I'd probably cut their legs off. :rotfl:lol

Prog , I don't live with them which is actually the reason there's one of two people I suspect ( one more so ) , they've both been left alone for a few minutes with my collectibles and have a past tendency to be arse holes. I didn't think this big of arse holes though. :lol

Funny you mentioned this. I actually turned my heat on today and was OCDing thinking, "will this ruin my stuff"? I have some vintage Kenner collectibles and some other stuff that are about 2 feet away from these cast iron radiators.

I've never had a knee joint look like that after they've snapped. Usually the discs come loose and the joints overall look deteriorated.

To me, that looks like a clean snap. Like someone pulled each leg forward and snapped it up. You might want to look at their thighs and see if there's any warped or bent plastic. That would be a sign that something snapped them by force.

A few questions.

Are these people/person a friend of yours? If so, why the hell would you hang out with them?

Is there a reason they would want to break your stuff i.e an argument etc.?
