FARAMIR - BE PREPARED FOR A MAJOR PRICE HIKE!

So, as is always the case with the new releases from SSC I have been able to place my order for Faramir already with Forbidden Planet.

However...

The price on this figure was £44.99 with a saving of £10.00 making it £54.99 RRP.

To put this in a perspective that is easier understood, the latest SW Figures (the ones at the $60.00) price point have been £33.99 and Aragorn, Legolas and Boromir have been £34.99.

I would be surprised, on that basis is Faramir was less than $70.00.

Just thought that I'd better warn you now.

However, I may be wrong, just sounding the early warning!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. If it is that high I guess I won't be getting this figure. Way to much for what the figure comes with. Oh well. More money to spend elsewhere.

Not surprised really. The costume is pretty detailed, the horn, the bow, arrows, sword, ranger cloak, etc.

The price for the LOTR figs seems ok to me.. for what you're getting. $60 for those SW figs is just dumb!!

Agreed! Besides, I paid $80 for Medicom RAH X3 Wolverine, $115 for Medicom RAH Jack Sparrow, $110 for HT Robocop and $165 for HT ED-209...Looking at the details of this Faramir, I got no problem paying $70 for him! These SS LOTR figures are just so much more detailed than the SW figures IMO, so the extra expense is understandable...We'll see what the final price is in a few minutes. I'm getting him REGARDLESS of cost!
