Oh the beauty and joy!!!!!!!!!!!

This is totally gonna be the best figure ever. He looks so good with Aragorn in the background too! Everything looks perfect, now the only thing driving me crazy is the sculpt. Lemme see that face and it's time for my PPO!!!! YIPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still say the exclusive should be the map of Middle-Earth, maybe something else--I would say Boromir's cloven horn, but would would Denethor come with (at this rate it'll be in the year 2106 but still.........)?

I want my Faramir already!!!!!

hehe that's a long-bow if ive ever seen one.

I wish they would reveal the actual colors though.

It looks fantastic!! I remember when people got Aragorn they were like, the bow is too small....

It's like they didn't remember that in the film Aragorn had a short bow, just for hunting. He only used it a little in the first flick, not much anywhere else. Now Faramir and his Ranger's had those nice Gondorian Bows, used for combat and made to go the distance. It's nice to see the attention to detail there, as some companies might not have thought about it.

And I love the sword... I've always been a fan of Faramir's sword, cool to see it replicated so well.

i love the sword too. when can we expect to see better pics?

I was just excited to see the attention to detail too, with the hilt of Faramir's sword being very accurate to the movie, and the lack of re-use for accessories (though the vambraces may be the same as Boromir's, standard gondorian issue!)

ok, I dont see a scruff of a beard . . .let's hope someone doesn't forget THAT slight detail . . .

I wasn't going to get Boromir, I'm not planning on getting Faramir, but I ordered Boromir in the ned, and I'm sure I'll do the same for Farmir. God, I can't be a completist on this line, I just can't. I don't have the room! Please, Sideshow, announce something not-cool!!

Be strong Mikey...

I'll be getting the main fellowship characters and nobody else. Same with Star Wars, just the people I like or want (or think will make strong displays), and NO others

I've never been a 'completist' anyway myself, never understood it. If i don't want something.... why would I buy it to to say "i have them all"

silly silly silly.... not to mention bloody expensive with figures in this range! lol

Looks very good! The detail in the costume looks to be really super nice. The attention to detail as Mikey said is something I think that will make these LOTR figures some of the best 1/6th figures we've seen.

Good point hunky...I had been collecting all the SS 12" SW figures up until recently...but that's because all the one's they'd released were one's I wanted for the collection. I finally put my foot down at being a 'completist' with the 3 pack of "Endor Rebel Soldiers". I realized with those releases especially that I can't get every figure in the SW universe released by SS, I just wouldn't have the room! Iconic OT figure's and prequel Jedi's are cool for the collection (however I also decided to skip Plo Koon, even though I got Kit Fisto...Plo Koon just never really appealed to me, But Kit is an AWESOME character and a GREAT figure...Now Shaak Ti or Ki Adi Mundi...those, I'd get!...But that's another story...) Given how HUGE this line is going to get, I have to draw the line somewhere.

As for LOTR...I knew I always wanted MORE than just the Fellowship, and a Faramir in Ranger garb was high on the list, so I'm stoked...However, I'm sure I'll draw the line at certain LOTR figures also. Have to wait and see which ones as they're released...

As a side note, from what we can see in the blog photo, Faramir looks GREAT so far...Can't wait to see more 'detailed' photos and have this guy in-hand...in Q4 2008! teehee...

I'm pretty picky in both lines too; still, if there's any character I want it's Faramir! I always looked at him as the fellowship member who was never in the fellowship. I see him as being as important a character as any of the other fellowship members, if not more so than some. He's the best; have I mentioned that already? LOL. I'm just dying to see the sculpt though--please, let us behold his face Sideshow!!!!
