Farscape statue from Symbiote

I think when I bought the DVD for Peacekeeper Wars there was a flyer for Symbiote in it saying that Farscape collectibles would be landing in 2010. But it looks like they've finally gotten something out.

This pic looks like a zbrush more than a prototype, but it's supposed to debut at SDCC - so I guess we'll see for ourselves. $150 for a 1/7 scale statue with 2 figures is pretty cheap nowadays - I'm hoping that it doesn't look cheap.

Any updates on this statue? I just went to the Symbiote site and couldn't find it. Anyone heard anything? Did it sell out and I missed it or, worse yet, get cancelled?

Great Idea, Great Pose but they need to make them look more like Ben Browder and Claudia Black, for myself 1/7 scale is on the small side but if the did a Gigi Edgley/Chiana that would Rock

Considering the link doesn't work, and there is nothing about Farscape if you do a search on their site, I'd say this is dead. It seems like sales were soft even at the start of the project:

I don't know, maybe they are still working on it in the background, but they had opened up pre-orders in November of 2011, and people are still asking about it on Facebook with no reply.

Edit: I made a comment on Facebook and they replied right away! LOL. "They said It's still going, but it is going slowly."

So that's cool! I guess they were just not near enough to keep it active on the site. I really hope it turns out well!

They won't get many solicitations with a photo like in the first post. If someone showed me that I'd think it was a statue for Resident Evil.

Here are some various images of the thing in-progress. Some stuff looks promising... some looks a bit scary. But they are still in-progress so we'll see. The first image was just a paint-up in CG.

They did say:
Note: We are doing a version mainly based on the comic books. She will lack some realisim in order to show how she is portrayed in art. She also has more tweaks to come and will have a lot more detail when paint is added.

Which is not the way I'd go personally. I think more people would want a more screen-accurate statue than something that looked like a comic, but I guess if that's the style they are going for it could work.

Huge Farscape fan but enough time has passed that this would have to be phenomenal to draw me back in. This ain't it.
If your not even going to attempt a Claudia Black likeness why bother?

What's weird is: I actually had this pre-ordered on their site but had to cancel because I suddenly no longer had a job. After that, they posted up a page asking (paraphrasing), "We're doing this statue out of love for the show, but sales aren't great. What are we doing wrong?" People wrote in with a laundry list of things to change - not the least of which were the likenesses.

Of course people are going to want likenesses of Browder and Black. I didn't even know there was a comic series, I don't read comics, I watch tv shows.
