that's a tough one man. i cant even decide. i'd have to say Sam. he was my favorite character in the movie and i wanted a figure of him from back when SS first announced the line. and he turned out perfect.

The Hobbits were the best IMO. I dunno if it's cause HT helped or not. (they say it's just the bodies, but i dunno the tailoring and everything was just so good)

including things like the sausage links was a nice touch. plus the texturing on those pots and pans.

I think the Hobbits were my favorite figures of the year. Shame more people didn't realize how kick ass they are. I woulda killed for a Bilbo (yes even over Merry or Pippin)

Bilbo - Sideshow quality and pennies more than Frodo.

Sustained from voting as my two favorites weren't included in the poll. My two favorite releases of 2008 are above (besides Gandalf who snags a close 3rd).

While I agree with Nam o) my favorite is Gandalf. I love the sculpt, the hat, the staves, etc.... Just not one thing wrong with this figure. A perfect 10.

i like the whole damn set. i gots no plans of getting rid of these guys any time soon. even if the line is dead. they are great. i was photographing boromir today for my Show Your Shelves Thread. forgot how kickass he was.

Faramir - despite the bad paint apps on the figure, he was my favourite character in the books, Boromir 2nd.
I should really get back into this line shouldn't I.

I really like the way Sideshow made the little hobbits, a lot of work and effort must have gone into those. - and they are also special because of their height.

Aragorn for me. The outfit and accessories are great.

It's a tossup between Sam and Frodo, but I chose Sam because he comes with sausages and pots and pans.

Gandy for me. I'm SOOOOOO thankful they made him, and made him perfectly! Imagine if the line ended before we got him.

I voted Gandalf, to me, he was just the best executed figure all around, so much went right with him. Great sculpt, very nice paint apps, beautiful tailoring, inclusive accessories. The Hobbits, while a great feat, were a bit lacking to me on the paint side, so that bumped Gandy up, they come in at #2.
