This is easily one of my favorite genres if not my favorite. I could sit down all day and watch these types of movies. My favorite martial arts actor is probably Donnie Yen. IP Man is such a good movie. It really blew me away the first time I saw it. Don't get me wrong I love people like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, and plenty more you get my gist but Donnie Yen is still my favorite.

There is a lot I like including IP man 1 and 2 which you mentioned. Off the top of my head my favorites are Hero, Fearless, my father is hero, fist of fury, EtD, Game of death, way of the dragon, house of flying daggers, flying swords of dragon gate, rumble in the Bronx, drunken master, and red cliff. There is also a lot of import jet li wushu movies that I watch but left off list.

Have you seen ong back or the protector? It has been awhile since I have seen these but I don't recall any fantasy type fights

Yeah, both those Tony Jaa movies don't do the fantasy fights. The Raid reminded me of The Protector a little. They're working on another Protector movie that is coming out in a few months... in 3D of course.
