I have recently been thinking about "bloodying" up my Sideshow Leatherface. But, I dont know what to use. I have heard to mix grey and red paint, but that's permanent and this is my first time modifying a figure anymore than untying Leather's apron and re-tying it.

Any and all help Welcome,
CJK

Just do it. Its fun and easy. For blood I used half Lipstick Red half Barn Red. Gives a deep red, and for old dry blood I add Burn Umber.

Here is a couple quick pix.

CJK1000000...Hey Savannah! Welcome in! Miss my old stomping grounds. How's River Street and Forsyth Park?

Anyway, for blood I use insignia red mixed with burnt umber. If you use acrylics and water it down, literally, it will be thin and inky, and you can use a toothbrush, soak it in the paint, and spatter it on by rubbing your fingers over the bristles, while aimed at the target. Among other methods.

Yeah, that's what I was going to mention as well. Toothbrush works wonders for blood spray. :rock

And welcome! :duff

Ok guys. I'm going to pick up some craft paint in a few days (along with Grand Theft Auto 4). I suppose I'll get red and grey as there arent many options at WalMart. I'll mix the two and play with the red to grey ratios until I find a shade that I like. I'll do a bit of practicing on my Coveralls for my Michael Myers Costume. I will try the paintbrush method first as a spray is idealy what I'm looking for.

Thanks,
CJK
