Wow, that looks fantastic. Is it a one of a kind?

I doubt that. It really looks a lot like the classic vinyl Billiken Joker kit head (look it up!). One of the two anyway. That head is out there. I have a variant on it myself. If this is an original sculpt, I guarantee you he had a Billiken there as reference. Just too many small details the same. GREAT copy if so.

There were two with the kits, one with the hat, with a slightly more open mouth and wider eyes, and this one, with beret also, but all molded. This looks just like it. Same expression and facial details.

Below is my personal Joker, where I took said Billiken head, removed the molded beret and made hair and an ear, and added a more closed mouth lower lip, as he had that in much of the movie when he relaxed his mouth (and I liked it), but if you see the details of the face, they are very close. I actually smoothed mine a bit to lose some of the facial wrinkling you see in the shots of his new head.

I am not accusing him of anything. This may well be an original take on this classic old head. And there is no crime in using this classic Billiken sculpt as a base. It is just too good a sculpt not to.
To make it work, he would have to have done what I did, add hair and details and a neck. Fairly straight forward.

Whatever the case, just know, this may not be as rare a head as you may think.
Joker heads are out there. It's the clothing that makes these so hard to make. That is why I support getting these new ones for as cheap as they are going for. You guys can't lose! Seriously. This is a steal! If you pardon the pun.

Hope this info helps any of you unsure about the heads.

I thought i did mention in the title that it's a resculpted head not his original work.... anyway it's not Billiken head infact the head is a resculpture of this recent release of Joker head :)

I was 8 years old when Batman came out and Nicholson's The Joker seriously scared the hell out of me. I love the movie still but even now I get the chills when I see the Joker. Credit to Nicholson for sucha great performance and Id consider him the definative Joker. This headsculpt looks perfect, an amazing likeness. So much so that Id never buy one . .it would give me the creeps!

Thanks xenoviper, for that last comparison set shot. I can see it has some points of similarity with the other released head, and may well be a total resculpt. Just know, it does very much resemble the Billiken in facial structure, and that is not a bad thing! Both this new one and the older Billiken have captured Nicholson's head so well, that it is arbitrary which is better.
This new one is one super sculpt. I love it. All you out there thinking what to get...get this! GET IT! I may even get one myself. I sure would love to paint it!

Not a bad job at all! Extrordinary even! Love the hair.
This is a no-brainer. :D

Man, with the work that is put into this and his Bale head they're pretty much totally new sculpts.

Let us know about the head availability Xenoviper, please.

Billiken, Century, or whatever it is, I like it. Might make a good replacement for the Joker I'm getting.

Yeh i agree Les, ive looked up Billiken kit on the net myself and it does look awefully similar. I pull those pics to show Feng and he was suprised himself that it does look alike and he had no idea that kit existed. :lol

Anyway heres some reference pics Feng has used during the facial reconstruction of Joker head.
