I refuse to see another SM origin story..... Marvel and Sony have ****ed Spidey up to a level that I no longer feel is salvageable. Sony clearly had no clue how to properly handle the character. I mean, he is tough to get right.

They may not do an origin story. As far as I heard, he will premiere in Captain America Civil War, and will be in Avengers 3. When he gets a stand-alone film, it may not be an origin story. In fact, I bet it won't be.

I actually think Spidey/Parker is not that hard to get right. I think Raimi and Tobey nailed Spidey by SM2. But then they screwed everything up with the third. And then they further screwed everything up by rebooting and trying to instill all that other spy intrigue crap into the mythos and it just made it unnecessarily complicated. Spidey is a young kid with young kid problems but on top of that has the weight of the world on his shoulders and can't share that with anyone.

Batman had 3 different actors in a 10 year span, don't forget!
Well, technically 5 years. Batman Returns in 1992, Batman Forever in 1995, and Batman & Robin in 1997.

Yeah, but that was one series... for better or worse

This will be the 3rd new incarnation and it's coming so soon after the 2nd reboot; just seems odd to me. And I'd agree with Flosi, I really can't muster much interest in Spider-Man at this point.

No, not at all... I just happen to be the guy that likes the Nolan films way more.

Got the new Monsterarts Millennium Godzilla... I think it might be my favorite Godzilla in the line to date.

But, it's hard to find someone who can carry that burden, or responsibility , along with the wise cracking coolness that Spidey embodies. Toby came off too depressed and Garfield too cocky, IMO.

I prefer the Spidey films, overall, over the Batman films, overall. I'm comparing all 5 Spidey films to all 7 Batman films. To me, Spidey wins.
