2 many Gr8 Statues!!!
My cockatiel lives in my room and flies around alone by himself in the room. Other than caging him or changing how I display my statues, any ideas to discourage him from going near them and then possibly chewing them (he likes chewing things).

This works great with birds.

I prefer charcoal for flavor but you could always go with a wood, maybe hickory?

This question should've been asked in the stupid questions thread.

Here is your answer.......have his wings clipped, keep him in his cage, give him away or open a window.

There....close the thread. You have your answers.

Thank you Ween. I am looking for some real answers though. I use to know about positive and negative reinforcement but I forgot. Perhaps someone knows something using those two things to train him. I'd personally like to electrify the statues but that's impossible. It'd work brilliantly.

I've always been frisky, darlin' :D

Have you read this guy's threads? I'm on to him.

Yeah! Cook him! Then use Deckard's BBQ on him! YUM!

sometimes you have to make a choice and live with the consequences. Otherwise, get the bird stuffed and mounted.

This thread has been very informative and helpful, thank you all!

Tomorrow I will barbaque Sparky and eat his breasts with some barbaque sauce. The answer to my problem was so obvious I don't know how I missed it.

Electrify the statues BEFORE you would consider glass or lexan cases???
With that attitude, maybe another stuffed bird in the room to act as a warning to all birds who would touch the statues. The only question is would the message get across to the bird successfully?
