So I went to a test screening last night of Forgetting Sarah Marshall https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800039/ and it was quite possibly the funniest movie I have ever seen. Puts superbad/knocked up/40 YOV to shame. When it comes out, you all should mark your calendars to see it. I might even see it again when it comes out. It was that funny.

PLUS: kristen bell was in the audience :drool :drool :drool :drool Only noticed her because she is so damn small. Her standing up was like most people sitting down, which I have no problem with.

Hadn't heard of this movie, but if it has Kristen Bell - I'm there. Not a big fan of Jason Segel though, even though he's an Apatow alumni (as is Rudd).

I felt the same way, I never really liked him too much, but I like him now. That's one of the reasons why I like Apatow Directed and Produced movies. They bring more "real-life" people into situations that cause the movies. No movie stars, more average people whom most can identify with. Obviously someone like jason segal would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER be with Kristen Bell, but I can forget that in the scope of the movie.

Didnt know he wrote the movie until I saw the credits. Lots of Kristen Bell bikini scenes were awesome, and that was worth the drive to see the film.

Thought I'd bump this thread after seeing the movie last night.

Anyone else see it? I loved it, funniest film I've seen in a long time.

wow Discussing a special screening in mid November of '07, and the movie just came out in mid April.. man, that's crazy!

btw It was a phenomenal movie! And now I will lust over Kristen Bell more than ever, and despite the girlish figure of Mila Kunis, she was quite the little vixen. But man, Ms. Bell has such rock hard abs, and curvy legs. Lil' bombshell.

Anyway, great story... tremendously funny... definitely a 4 star movie!

I've never liked Segal, but he puts it all out there for this film. I'm, of course, referring to the fact that he wrote it as well as stars. It's very funny and there are so many great performances - the British pop singer is brilliantly played.

Mila Kunis, who I always hated on that '70s show, is great here - but the reason to see it is Kristen Bell - she lights up the screen.

SPOILERS

The story might have worked better without Bell in the role. You like her so much that you don't want her to get back with this loser and she really takes focus away from Segal's character. But I guess it is brave of the filmmakers to not have her be a psycho-^^^^^ and make her more sympathetic.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was hilarious. I have never seen anything with Kristen Bell before and thought she was funny...I liked Mila better though...she just had more charm and her character was more likeable. I thought Jason Segel was great....but his whining/crying was a bit much after awhile......my favorites had to Russell Brand (had never heard of him before this movie) who was absolutely f'n hysterical....he really stole the show imo, just so over the top....he was perfect in that role. And I LOVED, LOVED Jack McBrayer....he has some of the best one liners......the one where he questions why God put a playground near a sewage plant had me laughing so f'n hard.....:rotfl:rotfl He is brilliant!

trust me...he's on a lot of shows in the UK & his act soon wears thin...initially funny but all his material is the same boring & repetitive after awhile
