E3’s around the corner… can you tell? Course you can! And Microsoft kicked off their E3 push today for Forza 4, announcing a whole host of pre-order fancies, the game’s cover car that there will be a Limited Collector’s Edition and that Forza 4 will have an import feature.

First things first, a limited number of Forza 4 games at retail will include an exclusive in-game car pack at launch that comes packed with 5 super cars to race to your heart’s content this fall. Limited to the first production run of Forza 4 copies, they will include:

Ford Mustang GT Coupe 1965
Koenigsegg Agera 2011
Lexus SC300 1997
RUF RGT-8 2011
Tesla Roadster Sport 2011

Microsoft also found time to announce that Forza fanatics will be able to pick up a Limited Collector’s Edition of the game with exclusive content. More details on that incoming at some point or another according to MS... Our guess? It comes boxed with a brand new Ferrari for £245,000.

Speaking of Ferraris (cool segue, huh?), Microsoft also announcd that the Ferrari 458 Italia will grace the cover of all standard editions of the game – see below. According to the press release, “The Turn 10 team has worked closely with Ferrari to include every intricate detail of the Ferrari 458 Italia in the game, from its sleek aerodynamic design to its exquisitely modeled 4499 cc V8 engine, offering players the most realistic driving experience off the track.” Smooth!

Perhaps the coolest thing to come out this slew of announcements though is the announcement that Forza 4 will include a “Profile Import” option, allowing players who have invested “tireless hours” into Forza 3 to import the save into Forza 4 for a slew of rewards.

Based on your player level and the cars you have in your garage in Forza 3, you’ll be rewarded in Forza 4 with gift cars and credits; and for those that spent hours making layers and liveries in Forza 3, they’ll be able to import them into Forza 4 too.

Well that's some bull _____!

Although, that might explain why NFS: Hot Pursuit is lacking Ferrari's. I guess if EA wasn't giving them Porsches then they weren't getting Ferrari's.

The Warthog vehicle design to be used in Halo 4 is buried deep within upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive racing game Forza 4.
It's viewable in Forza 4's "Autovista" mode, Wired reports. Images are below.
You can use motion-sensing add-on Kinect to move around the model of the Warthog, which Microsoft describes as an Easter Egg.
AI Cortana will narrate and tell stories about the vehicle's prowess, apparently. You can't drive it, though.
Halo 4, announced at E3 in June, is set to launch on the Xbox 360 next year. It's in development at Microsoft's internal Halo developer, 343 Industries.

What a waste... if I were able to drive it that would be soooo cool :(

So much for it being an Easter Egg. :(

Is nothing kept secret in video games prior to their release?! F!ck!

Demo hits soon. Anybody going to pick this up?

I wish 360 had a decent force feedback wheel.

I would be getting this if I hadn't sold my 360 a few months ago.

What I like about forza is the livery editor, the realistic tire simulations, and vehicle damage the series is known for.

However I don't really feel Forza is a true simulation. More or less every car handles the same. This becomes very noticeable when compared to Gran Turismo 5.

With that said Forza does have strengths over GT5. Mainly in the AI, Forza pioneered driver AI with personalities, and they do a good job there. I also give Forza credit for the plethora of customizations you can do to a car, it can be too easy to go overboard with it however.

In the end I feel GT5 is the superior simulator when it comes to physics, but Forza definately has the edge in AI, and vehicle customization:

This game is gonna rock. Hope the drag racing is fixed!!!

GT5? If all you like is Asian cars. And all of GT5's cars sound like crap.

Had a few goes tonight. It really does play well. The sense of speed is awesome and the computer AI is alot better than that on Gt. The engine and exhaust notes are perfect too. I wouldnt say the graphics are mind blowing, maybe a tad better than the last one but this on the whole is a cracking game. Man alot of good games on the way!

Oh yeah does anyone know if the 355 is in the car list?
Iv not seen it but really hope it is :)

Sweet this looks and sounds great, still bummed about not being able to drive the warthog that would guarrantee a purchase but this looks and sounds great so far.

Demo played as expected. I might get this after I've gotten through NFS: The Run. The only thing I noticed that I don't like is the view where you're in car, but can't see anything on screen. It seems too elevated and not close enough to the ground. I'm so used to playing NFS and that view is much lower to the ground.

Haha thats strange. I actually found the slight change in car much better and very noticable.
I must say the sound effects on this are awesome and far better than whats in gt5
