You just keep getting better and better.

Thanks for sharing your talent!

I just noticed that, the blue one looks totally awesome man! how does he get some of the font outside of the border?

highlight the banner and you'll see. it's layers in photoshop.

This was the first banner that, when I first noticed it, took my breath away-literally.

Great job! :clap

When I first logged in it was the Creature for a few seconds and I thought 'wow that looks great but kinda weird for one product to be on the banner'. Then it changed to Ani and Strider adn I was blown away.

Fantastic job again

I think this could be one of the best banners yet. It really pops from the screen.

Thanks, everyone, for all of your comments — especially to dr2red for your long-standing and continued support — but believe me, I still have a lot to learn! (And pixletwin — sorry I almost killed 'ya! :lol)

The forum headers are typically comprised of numerous opaque and semi-transparent layers stacked over a fully-transparent background layer. To prepare the final file for delivery to Dave to post on the board, all the layers containing graphics are collapsed into a single layer, reducing the file to just two layers: a layer containing the graphics and the transparent background layer.

This file is then saved as a ".gif" file with "Transparency" selected along with a "Matte" color (in this case, the darker of the two stripe colors that comprise the board's background) to allow any elements extending over into the transparent areas of the image to blend with the background.

For example:

Photoshop file with transparent background (Checkerboard pattern = transparent areas):

Transparent Gif file with background matte:

Transparent Gif file with background matte over board background:

BTW, for those interested, there's a hi-res version of the Creature, here.

I would have a gallery of your banners at home if I could.

Great work as usual.
