Does anyone think Hasbro will release older figures again similar to the Archive line for the Star Wars Black Series?

My best guess is the first step would be to consider how to reuse each specific mold produced.

There's a lot of unique stuff to Zartan and Bludd, and they are clearly long sold out. Hard not to see them rereleased. Beachhead is popular and my guess is he's impossible to find now. Again, why not make another run of it. What might be a point of concern is the concept of HasLab "unlockables" i.e. maybe a new version of Beachhead is only a figure you can get if it's "unlocked" to a vehicle release that's not mainline.

I can see Chuckles getting another release. Just this time with tactical gear. Same with Shipwreck, a version of him more line with the 25th or 50th anniversary four inch release ( black watch cap, vest, etc) Hard to see Shockwave not being reused, his core body type and mold, for any number of black ops/tactical kind of troop building. Storm Shadow is interesting because you can use some "soft goods" and create a hooded version, just with the same base body and different weapons.

This is a line that is maximized IMHO with "completist" type collectors. You want people buying even the figures they think suck badly, just because they have all the rest already and they've breached the sunk cost fallacy. You can't attract them if you start to get 10-12 core "iconic level" figures that are just impossible to get for those entering into the line much later. Just some thoughts.

Ships in two heavy boxes!

I crunched some numbers yesterday and discovered something pretty shocking.

In the last 4 years, I’ve had more Classified figures than I did with ARAH as a kid. And I was blessed with a lot of toys growing up.

Troop builders and keeping figures in the box are 2 things I didn’t do as a kid.

What about you all? Have any idea which collection is bigger, ARAH or Classified?

I had a lot of single figures as a kid, was never allowed to buy a figure twice to army build, closest I got to that was buying the Cobra Officer, Trooper, & Stinger driver. Usually, a figure would get taken out and ignored for a few minutes before I would pick up the figure and place elsewhere as a new trooper.
That said, I'm now living it up with multiple Troop Builders and enjoying customizing them into units. So I'm pretty sure I'm beyond what I had as a kid. For example, I had three RAH Vipers, the first version, Python Patrol and the 90's tan version even though I was done playing with Joes just because it was a viper; now I have 20 Classified Vipers thanks to the sales of the Viper three pack and Crimson Viper and I know when the Desert Tan version eventually gets released, that number will increase!

A Call to Cobras - a HISS Fire Team tries to find out what happened to their comrades who disappeared on a peaceful day. (Poor infantry guy came with a broken arm when I bought the set!)

Oh my RAH was much bigger. The RAH are all gone now and there is effectively no way the Classified could get bigger, figure count and vehicle wise. I had the shuttle complex, the terrordrome, sky Stryker, Raven, Rolling Thunder (personal fave) and others, plus near every figure from 84 to 94.

1984 was my favorite year of ARAH. Not too big, not too small…juuuust right. I had all of the major vehicles and figures from that year.
Mutt and Junkyard are huge additions to my Classified Series. Blowtorch is gonna look wicked as will Wild Weasel once they do a Rattler HasLab.

I used an extra Gung Ho Wave 2 backpack for Mutt to hold his rifle and Billy club.

As of right now, my ARAH collection was bigger ... but it's close. Classified will pass it at some point this year.
My reply was just referring to figures. If you consider all of the vehicles and playsets, then it's not even remotely close.
Along with most of the "regular" vehicles, I also had the Terror Drome, Mobile Command Center, Defiant, and Flagg.

I want Doc and that other guy! Isn't there another guy named Lifeline as well if I remember? Would be nice to have the medical staff to help heal poor injured Joes. :D

Doc looks cool. I like the addition of a medical vest so he can get to all needed equipment. I think he also a pacifist...(?) In the Joe universe, so it looks like he's equipped with a stun gun.

They are crushing it today! Where did all of this come from?!

I’m getting Doc, Torch, Jinx and Gnawgahyde (incredible load out) out of the bunch (if they don’t add anymore today) .

They're posting these on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Naugahyde. Jinx, and Night Creeper also shown.
I don't like the non-loaded slack bow on Naugahyde or the chopped sleaves on Jinx, but otherwise they all look great!

Doc looks like he has squad builder potential ( paint over the cross on his vest, give him some weapons, pack, etc) You can see how easily Hasbro can likely reuse the molds for Doc to make some kind of new basic Grunt.

But let's talk about the crazy screaming monkey with the eyepatch with Gnawgahyde for a second. Instant winner in my book.
