So, my medi spider-man decided to dislocate BOTH of his hips 15 seconds after he came out of the box... I need to get the suit of to fix his hips. i know i can do it, ui just need to get in there, anyone got any suggestions on how to do it?

44 views? and no comments? well, perhaps pics will help.

Also, since i posted this, I've taken off his suit, and examined the body. it's covered in spiderweb fractures at all stress points, and the right shoulder joint shatered too. on with the horror show!

here are some pics of my medicom scomic book spiderman, as of right now.. these pics are a bit... gruesome, you may want to look away.

Careful

Last chance

Ok, so here is my medi spiderman as of right now :)

More to follow as I prgoress with repairs.

who did you buy that from, P!tu?

just kidding P!tu

Seriously, that looks aweful. I agree with Moon that you may need to buy a new body.

Yikes! And to think, I felt bad for breaking the little ring off of Jack Sparrow's compass. That's some serious carnage (pun intended) right there.

That toy is crap.

You know, I would agree in terms of durability..but is it? Perhaps he got a lemon of a figure or he was hard on it. I could be wrong about the last part so don't let me have it.

I know edwint posed the crap out of his and got some of the best poses and shots a person can take and make of a 1/6 scale figure. Also, when you see it and feel it in hand, you can definitely see the quality. But again, this really sucks.

Same thing happened to my Medi - comic spidey. Luckily a board member pointed me to someone selling a red body of the same size on ebay and I lucked into it for about $20 I think. But that was pure luck.

YAY! So here is what I'm doing. you may notice I dissassembled spiderman into his component parts? I orded a kai massive, and am going to transplant the shoulder and hip joints to this body, then reassemble him, and resew the costume, and no more worries. I'll post pics as i go. the reason this will work? no crappy red plastic. Every import toy i';ve ever owned made of the red plastic is rediculously fragle.

for the record, The left leg broke when i tried to move it into a sitting position. i applied a little pressure, and pop.... the right went the same way :(
the shoulder brok after i took the suit off. it was covered in spiderweb fractures and disintigrated when i applied a little pressure to it.

Not to pitu, don't buy this one bro, he wouldn't survuve you opening the box! :lol
actualy I got him from one of the Mediworld mods. Great guy He even offered to sell me his medicom superman figure for parts to fix him.
But I THINK I can do it with parts from the massive. the shoulders LOOk the same.

Wow, I thought the Medicom Defenders would be out but would be a losing cause. :lol

Hope you didn't pay much :monkey3

Track down a Medicom Massive nude or a standard and add all the red muscular attachments to in... Only option!

I feel for you I really do... I broke the peg for my Spiderman blue & Red for the SM3 line. I'm still gutted by it!

Gothim for retail actualy :)

Please not, He was not in pieces when i got him. He broke after.

Great news that you will be able to fix this figure as I believe the Medicom body is probably the best on the market as long as it doesn't break.

The bad thing is Spider-Man, arguably the best American Super-Hero figure they have made, is red plastic. The newer bodies, like Bruce Lee, do not seem to have these breakage problems but the red plastic does.

I am sorry I came to this board late, I have 5 Medicom Spider-Man figures and have figured out how to fix these breaks. You look to have it under control but if you need any advice please just shoot me a PM.

Your Spidey looks like it is in pieces, but chin up true believer, your figure is not lost. Take care, good luck.

oh yes, pm sent requesting assistance :)

Okay, I have answers for all of your questions but to save PM space send me your e-mail address, if you don't mind. I will send detailed instructions that will help you fix this and any other broken Medicom figure you come into contact with.

good news? the kai massive arrived, and despite the fact that MOSt of the screws were stripped to the point that they would not be removeable, i managed to get all the imporatant parts swapped out.

The bad news? Both my new shoulder joints have some pretty bad cracks in them. I'll probobly end up opening his suit up again eventualy and replacing the arms one day, again.

pics forthcomming once i get the suit sewn up.
