finally got around to repainting this guy. i always thought this was a good figure but suffered from bad paint apps. i studied a bunch of pics from custom mikeys repaint as well as some others. this thing is a hell of a lot of work. every bit of him was repainted except maybe the bottom of his sandals...:D
hope you all like it.

Nice job! What did you do to his hairy tutu or whatever it's called. It looks a lot better now.

thanks batty, i basically just took a toothbrush and dipped it into watered down brown paint and worked it into the tutu????....:lol

Looks fantastic! Love how you worked the darker paint into the wrinkles in his face! Great job!

It turned out nice. Much better than out of the box. And great overall paint work too.

Hairy tutu. :monkey4 :lol

thanks mrh.......i'm finally starting to get what layering paints does for bringing out details.
Very nice paint job barry, wish I had the talent some of you guys have for repainting figures and statues.
thanks havok......really not as difficult as it seems but this one was very time consuming due to the amount of area needing covered and the many layers. almost as if i painted this thing 4 x over.

Looks very sharp! I think the flash washed it out if it's there, but I think a heavy coat of gloss on the lips & snout would be great if you hadn't done that already.

Great job! Sorry I never got back to you on the leather weathering... but it looks like you nailed it anyway! It looks phenomenal. I LOVE the hairy tutu... exactly how I would have done it. :rock

thanks cryoguns. yea the eyes, snout, and horns all have gloss on them. im pretty much shat with pictures as well, its making him look a brighter shade of green as well. in person everything is more toned down.

thanks josh, thats okay about not getting back to me, i saw where you got a lot on your plate right now. i just took a common sense approach to it after studying some pics and digging up old threads. wash wash wash...:D
