I never watched Duck Tales back then, but I might have to get it now. I'm sure my daughter would watch it with me.

The best thing about now though is we're getting this stuff on DVD. I pop in He-Man all the time and watch it. I need to go back and get all the Thundercat's DVD's, Voltron, and Transformers.

It's a fantastic show man, still hold up really well after all these years. Has some really good messages for kids too, particularly about not being greedy. I love it.

I was 15 in 1987 so I never really got into the cartoons of that era. I was more into the Transformers in the early to mid 80's and the Saturday morning cartoons as a kid in the 70's.

That's why I think we appreciate the cartoons of our generation more is because we had cartoons on 2 to 3 hours on the weekdays and then on Saturday mornings. Nowadays kids have Nick, Disney, and the Cartoon Network 24/7.

:rock:rock:rock

Now if they will release Thundarr the Barbarian and the Herculoids on DVD or Blu I will be a happy man.
That would be awesome, never really watched Thundarr too much , but I was fascinated by th Herculoids! :rock

I have all the Transformers, Voltron (need to get the Vehicle one), Robotech, just completed Ducktales (thanks to Fingaz). I need to complete Thundercats (need like two sets), He-Man (need three) and G.I. Joe which I only need one for but it's out of print and expensive as ^^^^!

Maybe we should move this to the 80's Cartoons thread?

I know. It was AWESOME to wake up on Saturday morning and have 3-4 hours of awesome cartoons to watch. That was all there was all week for me. Hell, cable TV wasn't even around in the 70's or it was very new and we sure didn't have it. I used to LOVE Saturday morning.

Need all the Transformers and Voltron. I do have Vol 1 of Thundercats but thats it for that but do have all the He-Man stuff including the 2000 show.

They don't make cartoons like they used to, most of them S.U.C.K now.

Most kids would rather watch that high school musical or carly crap. My son got mad at me over the holidays for making fun of the people on high school musical while he was watching it.
