Hey all I wanted to bring up something awesome that I think a lot of you would enjoy. This is for people in the USA only, as far as I know.

Last year Jenn and I went to one of Geeks Who Drink quizzes. It was an all around Whedonville competition. It was held in over a handful of different bars around the country. Jenn and I and our friend Kate won, and we took home the moola. :D

They don't just do single themed trivia like the Whedon one, they will hold random ones that ask random questions...about sports, video games, movies, music, etc. But the themed ones truly are the best.

Last night we went to our second one, and the theme was Harry Potter. They called it "The Geeky Cauldron" and it was so much fun. There were around 40 or so teams with each team having between 4-6 players (6 was max). Anyways, we won...again, and that was nice. The prize was just over $600 bucks, and a tri-wizard cup. Photos to come. We're waiting for them to post it.

It was hot outside on the patio at the bar we were at, so I look terrible in the photo they took, haha. My hair was expanding insane amounts and it was just sticking out everywhere. So be warned...BG looks bleeding awful!

Okay, back to the Geeks Who Drink. They do it for everything you can think of. Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. So if you want to participate, check em out. If they don't have one in your area, request it. They're really good about it.

Here is their site: Geeks Who Drink

Re: Geeks Who Drink

can you imagine the arguments and wars at a star wars quiz at celebration? :lol

Haha, that'd be great to see. Here's a pic of our winnings and our team name.

I won a competition at Hooters for who could name the most famous people with the name Charles or a variation thereof.

But I just won a beer...and I think I was the only contestant who did not use Charles Manson.

The disqualified my use of Charlize Theron.

The groans from the crowd were funny when they were reading my answers and got to "King Charles the First of England" and then "King Charles the Second of England".

Hahaha, that's really funny though.
