I saw the Dan Le Batard show today, and he said something about this that I think is absolutely spot on--"America" wants the Heat to lose this series, but if that happens then they have no interest in the Finals. So if the Heat win, "America" will actually get more enjoyment out of the playoffs because they will maintain interest for that much longer so they can root against the Heat when they play the Spurs. This is the way I feel about it. If it was Spurs/Pacers I have no idea who I would root for, and as a result, I probably wouldn't pay that much attention. Heat are great sports villains.
