Gentle Giant DST Milestones Admiral Ackbar (RotJ) 1/6 Statue

I saw this was up for pre-orders at BBTS.com & Amazon.com and put my order in immediately. I don't see Hot Toys or SSC producing this character in figure form so this option should work well with the collection. For me, the poses of DST statues often end up feeling far less dynamic in person but the simplicity & command presence of Ackbar in these promotional images (from BBTS) sold me immediately.

Picking up this guy. And totally agree, Hot Toys is probably focusing on making the 1000th stormtrooper in a cheap variant color while ignoring these guys

Looks great!

Gentle Giant can sometimes really nail some pieces. They're now the go to for secondary characters as well. No other collectible company really has interest in making characters like Ackbar at the moment.

It fits perfectly well with other 1/6 figures and the paint job hold it's own too. Not a fan of GG most of the times but this is a great release.
