I really like this. Didn't think I would but I'll probably be ordering this piece. I like the base is actually different as well.

That Vader seemed PERFECT in the preview snippets from Toy Fair, but I guess we all assumed that his head just has to look up. Bowed like this, in this pose, though... no, I don't think he'll be my sole exception in the 1/6 line.

When he first kneels before The Emperor in ESB he is in fact looking down so I don't see what's wrong with the pose for this statue.

I admit with SW they go to the well all the freaking time. Sometimes some of the products look cool like this new bust line and some of them can be a little odd like the chubby items on SWS. However, who's to say that because you buy one that makes you an idiot. I love how people on these boards tell someone what they like or buy is crap and they're an idiot for buying them.

Yep, his head is down when he first addresses the Emperor. Don't know why people are complaining.

Yeah, what he said. Do they mean by "classic" that these are the busts with no arms to satisfy those purists who hate the arms and legs (to mid-thigh) that some of the MB have?

Soooooo glad I am out of the GG bust line. Why are they splitting their market like that?

I think I will wait for the pics to come in about the kneeling Lord Vader though. It might turn out good. And I think looking up he would like like he was begging. Or proposing.

But definately not pre-ordering another GG statue. I learned that lesson.

I like the Vader statue. Classic pose, instantly recognizable from ESB. I had it in my shopping cart to pre-order, then decided I'm going to hold off for a while. No sense in getting too excited over something that won't ship for another 8 months.

I find it funny that GG is going back to the "armless" busts with the classic line. I thought they started adding arms because collectors thought the "armless" busts looked awkward?

These are only 5" tall, and it looks like the base makes up almost half of it.

I really like this new Vader statue, especially the light up base. If the edition size is high enough I may pick one up cheap off ebay.
