Statue Gentle Giant Gollum Bust

Gentle Giant has released the next bust up for order in their The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey mini-bust line. Gollum comes in at $65 and won't ship until Spring of 2013.

Saw this at SDCC. Just didn't hit me somehow. Now that I see it again, gotta say, I absolutely detest it. Mebbe it's the lipstick thingee. Since I already have many bust-ish versions of Gollum to place in the display of Hobbit, this will be a definite pass for me.

Yikes! That's horrible.

Way too much color in the eyes and lips, hair is too think looking - like they used a larger sized brush to not have to worry about detail, hands and arms are dirty, while the body looks clean.

Overall, a huge miss.

Its amazing that stuff like this gets approved for release. I mean maybe 15 years ago people would be all over this but with all that's about to come out.

Got Gollum today. The mouth area lips and really red are the two biggest issues for me.

the hair is awful, aswell as the mouth. The pose makes no sense either, ive never seen gollum lean back like that,hes always hunched over
