The problem is that with many Asian languages so much is left unsaid and must filled in by the listener or reader. At this point (and until AI gets much better) it just isn't possible for computers to make the necessary inferences, and that's before you even get into things like idiomatic speech.

I've been pretty impressed with machine translation of many romance languages though. It's generally good enough for you to get the meaning,
