Well, it's taken a long time, but my GR custom is finally done! And now, with no further ado...

Gotta have an 'in flight' shot...

Looking appropriately heroic.
For those who are interested, here is a parts break down:
Head: custom sculpt
Body: HT New Generation
Basic Costume: Vintage Capt. Action, replaced cape
Belt: pleather, brass buckle
Boots: the Classic Plastic Co.
I was going to revive the previous 'George" thread, but it was buried deeper than I felt like digging.I'm really pleased with how he turned out. Even my wife thinks I nailed the likeness...PS

OUTSTANDING!!!!
I try and watch the old Superman TV show every Saturday. Is that head one of a kind or will we be able to get our hands on one?

Fantastic! When I see that figure I can only think of the whooshing wind sound of Superman in flight!!!

do yo have a link to these folks?

great job on the figure. very nice. also, are the trunks part of the bodysuit, or are they separate? and the suit is an original captain action suit? not a re-production?

OK, the answers to a few questions...
Ironman, the head is my own custom sculpt( for which I have made a mold) so copies are possible. A "George" set includes the head and 'flying' hands, unpainted, for $35.By the way, thanks for posting the link. This guy does great stuff!
Capt., the trunks are integral to the suit, and I am using an original (40 year old!) Ideal suit. Fact is, I didn't know that repro's were even available. Probably shouldn't be surprised, though...PS

WOW That looks great ,I got the Art of toys George ,Its realy kinda lame ,So if you ship to the UK put me down for a set ,Just let me know how to pay you,and how much for shipping ,If you sell them painted or how much you want for the finished figure please let me know Chris Dodd

Just looked at the pix. Not a bad costume; the sculpt looks more like Karl Malden. A valiant effort, none the less...PS
