Hi All

Next up for my Raiders Collection is the iconic German Mechanic. Alot of cutsomizers have done this guy either in 3-3/4" or 12" scale I even did him in 7" scale years ago.
With all the customs of him everyone even myself have done him without his shirt on as that is the way we all remember him.

I decided to go for a different approach and do him with his shirt and cap on as his coming out of the hut and he see's Indy near the flying wing.
As with all my figure and dios once I got the look and feel I wanted I used Vallejo and GW paints to paint him and Vallejp and pastels for the weathering.

RECIPE

1: German Mechanic - The top half of the body is a 12" Aggression Wrestling figure which has had it's forearms, chest and upper neck heavily sanded to get the shirt to fit. I used GW greenstuff to add some thickness to the neck to get the head to sit correctly.

The chest and stomach has had greenstuff added also to get rid off any extra creases which happened after the sanding. The head is from a 12" Jesse Ventura figure which has had the paint stripped off and then repainted. The lower body is from a Dragon figure as the wrestling legs were just way to huge to put ons and also I needed to give him some height which the wrestling legs didn't have.

The pants are from the Sideshow German Indy, the boots/garters, belt and shirt are from Dragon and the cap is from Soldier Story.

2: Generic Base - This base is what I'll be using for all my Indy figures that need a desert base until I get all my figures done then I'll be making bases for them.

wow, LOOKS great, I can't believe you have so much time in your hands! hahaha! BTW, I found on ebay a head like that but it had hair... did you have to sand the hair off?

thanks
Looks amazing!

Sal

Hi All

CAZAFANTASMA - Thanks Sal and appreciate the feedback and the HS I have didn't need any sanding. Type in Jesse Ventura on ebay and I got the one with the suit.

Ron

Wow! Looks great! As Always!

You must have some crazy collection right now. You have to take a picture of everybody. Just so you have it. All the characters. Plus, I want to see it. :)

That head works pretty well. I made a Mechanic long, long ago out of a Cold Stone Steve Austin figure. Way too muscular, and surprisingly short now.

Hi All

Wor-Gar- Tha collection is slowly growing again after selling alot of customs I'll take some pics during the week and post them for you, and I appreciate the feedback mate thank you.

Ron

Cool. Yeah I made one using the same head a year or two ago.

P.S. The Mechanic was wearing gloves when he had the shirt and cap on. He took them off after he took off his shirt and was walking up to Indy.

The only thing i see wrong with your German mechanic is that the neck is too strong. but i think its the best ive seen! i do like the work that the fusion bros did on the body though.

Hi All

swsqueakquels - Cheers mate and Warren Beatty you say I think it's the lips. And I've bought over 17 full figures and teh rest have been bits and pieces of the net.

The Rogster - Thanks buddy and the neck has a more muscle look to him but I honestly it doesn't worry me. And the FB did an awesome job with theirs.

Ron

ya his arms are pretty weird and even though his torso is right on, I like hemble's alot better, I think it's the head and the weathering.

HI All

Guys again thanks for the kind words and glad you like him.

The thing I like about when guys post their customs is their work is unique you won't find two of the same figure.

Ron
