GG Merperson AFX exclusive

Despite all our complaining this was (is) a relatively easy HP exclusive to get. Been on sale for quite some time and still not sold out and there's only 500 of them. I think everyone was expecting another release of just the merperson, but that hasn't happened yet. Given the sales on this exclusive, it might never happen.

I've always felt that one of the weaknesses of the HP movies has been the character designs. Some are great - like the dragons and hippogriff, but others just look like they belong in a cartoon. That's how I feel about the merperson design. For me, it's a very unappealing and boring creature. All being one color adds to this blahness. But it's a HP bust so I had to have it. And you can't fault GG for the execution. It's really brilliantly done. He/she looks like she's under water with the hair floating and the seaweek on the base. The grindylow is even better, I like the design and he's just propped up with a couple of tentacles, so the water illusion is more pronounced.

Overall I'm glad I got them, but the merperson will probably be my least favorite HP bust for some time to come.

When they called me about my SDCC Ex they said these where shipping and that the Grety Clones should start soon. I asked how soon and was told probably two weeks and this was late last week.

Great pics as usual

This looks great and will be a great addition to the line. This is the kind of bust that should be an exclusive.

Mine will be arriving at work on Monday but I'm on vacation today and all next week so I'll have to decide if I want to venture into work to pick it up or not.
