Has any other information been released on this? I know many people, including myself, have been drooling over this more than the Rancor is in the piece.

Not that I know if, GG newsletters usually carry all that type of info. I would immagine that there should be one coming out pretty soon with all these new pieces being shown at TF. A retailer might be able to provide the MSRP and approx ETA when they find out though........

GG just announced the edition size will be 2000. I can't wait for this one.

How's that for reviving a thread?

This is easily one of my most anicipated pieces for the rest of the year.

I am pretty darned excited about getting this one, and very happy to hear of the edition size. That's only 500 more than the Dewback, and both pieces will easily be the greatest things Gentle Giant have come up with so far in the Star Wars line.

(I just got my GG Boba Fett statue today, by the way. #6490/6500--one of the last ten pieces of the edition, how's that for a high number? He looks nice, but I am just getting more and more excited about Sideshow making one in 1/4 scale.)

Actually, you have one of the last 11, but that doesn't make it any less cool

The Cantina bookends are set at 3500, btw. Anyone know if they plan on making sets for each movie?

im hoping they do. i would love a Ben/Vader and Obi Wan/Anakin set. then maybe a Luke/Yoda on Dagobah training set.

It looks like it'll be shipping soon. It's HUGE! I have absolutely no idea where I'm putting it.

It's only about as tall as Chewie but it looks a bit wider. I hope Bob gets his in soon.

I had somewhat forgotten about this guy. I sometimes find that items I was a little on the fence for end up impressing me the most (example PF Lurtz), and items I'd been really looking forward to end up dissapointing (example GG QuiGon). I'm ready to be surprised & impressed when the Rancor comes. I had been a little concerned that it would be "too small", losing detail for example in the keeper/trainer. It seems now like that may not be a problem, so bring it on!

Got mine and he is most impressive.

Got mine today too. A day earlier than I thought.

He looks amazing. Can't wait to get it out and then I have to find a place for him :monkey3

Well I got this bad boy out last night and it is sweeeeeeet. The base looks great with the bones and skulls. The Rancor is big! But it's not that deep so finding a place was quite easy. A very welcome addition to the collection.

Did you have fun getting him out of the box? He is heavy!!!

Thankfully my friend was there to help out. He's certainly got some weight to him.

This will most likely be one of my last GG statues and it's a great one.

I got my Rancor today from Mike at Razor's Edge. Number 20/2000. He is so massive and fantastic. Now to find a very sturdy shelf. :chew
