Another round of Gimli heads was sent out today. I'm going to close orders again for now until I get caught up with the outstanding ones. If you've already PM'd me about getting one, you're fine & accounted for.

Also, there was a bit of a hold up with the armor pieces, I want to make sure they're solid and drilling and sanding them has taken a little longer. If you've ordered the shoulder armor, I'm on it, but that's the reason for the delay on those orders. Thanks again to everyone for their patience. :duff

I am down for any LOTR custom you do!:D:rock

sweet. If any of you guys have an idea or wants, other than fully complete figures, lemme know. Currently I'm focusing on bits and pieces to fill in gaps and such, some upgrades like the Gimli head and the Bilbo head which is forth coming.

Even more heads, rings and shoulder armor went out today. I've only 4 more yet to ship out and they will go out in the next day or two.

Thanks again, everyone!

Picture of the shoulder armor painted up. This set is for jason2885. The first, terrible blurry pic is just them loosely slipped over the arms.

I really like how these came out.

The metal, gold plated 1:6 One Ring I made to replace Sideshow's inaccurate plastic one.

Oo.. shoulder armor looks great! What did you use to paint it? Any tips? I can't wait to get my ring, head, and armor! So excited!

flat black spray as a base that wouldn't easily rub off, a mixture of brass and gold paint drybrushed with a slight orange tint, then sealant.

Yup. :duh

As I said, just slipped it on to snap a couple pics. Didn't pay attention.

Yeah, those do look pretty nice. Note that you've got them upside-down; the strap part should be close to the elbow, not the shoulder.

Is the material flexible? I ask because I found that I needed to cut the strap and stretch it out in order to fit over the clothing and chainmail.

Wow that armor looks great. Looks like it never came from a toy at all. Cant wait to get Gimli completed. I just need to find a good painter to paint the Gimli head.

Thanks Entropy, and I cant wait to see how your Bilbo comes out.

... How Did I miss this? YOu finished the Gimli Heads?! did you cast them in the transparent resin like you talked about? how do they mount on the body?

and most importantly, where can I see better pics, and how do i get on the list for one of the next batches?

I forgot to mention in my poopy post that I thought your shoulder armor looks really good. I already have some, but might just pick up a set of yours too. :rock
