Am I wrong or does that set only include Minus Color in 1080p (no 4K)?
Whichever release contains both the original and the B&W in 4K, that's the one I'm getting.

There is no Minus Color in 4K. Whether that's something Toho might consider in the future... who knows?
There's been talk of Minus Color not being in 4K to give it a "vintage" look to match the tone.
Do we know if the English subtitles are exact matches for the ones displayed in US theaters?

All the extra printed material and supplemental material on Disc #4 is in Japanese only. This is the exact Japanese release just redone with the disc menus in English. And supposedly the English subtitles on the version released in Japan weren't very good. Plus, an actual US release would most likely have the dubbed English audio track as well as the original Japanese. The dubbed track option on Netflix was surprisingly good. So I'd like to have both.
I just hope the US release includes both the color and B&W versions as well.

I own the Apple digital and it's the same subtitles as the theatrical release, I would expect the physical media to be the same.
I read that Netflix also has the theatrical subtitles available but you have to change settings somehow, otherwise it's just the closed caption of the dubbing dialogue.

Did anyone else check out the Minus One theatrical rerelease? We went and had a blast. My youngest son and I saw it twice in theaters originally, so we were excited to take my wife to see it with us this time. She finally relented, and when we got out, she was like, why can't they just leave poor Koichi alone? I think she was surprised to have enjoyed it.

The brooklyn background has leaked that it will take place in NYC, TOHO wants to reclaim NYC away from the 98 movie.
