I'm not sure if any of you have been following this story. I've been all over it on a daily basis. Basically to make a long story short there have been 33 miners in South America trapped since August 5th 2,000 feet under ground. It's crazy but they are all still alive. They have been working on getting them out since. Well they hope to have the 1st miner brought up tonight! I hope they all make it out safe and sound. I will be pulling for them. :duff

yeah. this has been an amazing story. really will be interesting to see the fallout of their lives.

i read that there is quite a circus going on regarding the relatives, the media, money, etc.

i caught the last few seconds on the news before , have they built some kind of lift that can bring them up one by one ?. That's what it looked like to me but i didn't hear the story. Very clever if so.

yeah. its barely big enough to hold the person, but it looks like its pretty cool. when its all over they should make it into a ride and drop the person into the mine at like 100 mph. it would be like falling into atmo in the capsule in Starship Troopers.

at least one miner is going to get a black eye once he reaches the top.............not sure from who......the wife or the girlfriend............:monkey1

LOL! Yeah I read about him.

Seriously if I ever have to be caught in a disaster I hope it's in Chile. They have some luck. First the Rugby soccer team that was rescued after their plane went down. And now this. I wonder what they will call this movie?

Totally just burst into tears. Wow! A real story, first person out and we are still focused on mcnuggets apparently.

One of the rescued miners brought back rocks from below as souvenirs! I think that's frickin' awesome!:lol

I've been paying attention to it since it happened. So impressed that these men's lives have been saved.

Can you imagine what that first breath of fresh air must feel like?

I've been keeping up with this in bits and pieces, happy to hear they are successfully getting them out!

On a board populated with *******, that surprises you? :lol

I imagine that it was like breathing in Scarlett Johansson.

i hope their lawsuit makes them rich enough to never have to go back into a mine again.............:lecture but more so than that regulate safer conditions for their fellow miners. apparently their company & the whole industry is greedy cost cuttin' fooz.
