Here's a project that I've been working on that I thought you'd all find interesting...

Fresh out of the mold

Based and tinted.
This is a 1 piece casting, and I'm more than willing to do more of them if there's any interest(unless Sideshow wants to buy it for the first member of the 'Imperial' figure line). What do you think?...PS

Looks good to me! If the paint job and the costume are anywhere near as good as the head sculpt you might give Sideshow a run for the money.

That looks remarkably like the excellent Habro sculpt. Did you use it for reference? It looks superb!

The Hasbro sculpt was indeed involved, though my sculpt is smaller( more in scale) and, I think, a bit better proportioned. The Hasbro is a bit wide in the jaw, and quite a bit over-sized for scale( I measured it). Even acetone couldn't take it down enough( again, I tried). Sometimes you just have to sit down and do it yourself...PS

Are you going to complete the custom? I assume a bash of a Grey German SS Uniform would be the base for the uniform, where else would you get stuff from, and what kinda of accessories.. Love the sculpt, great work...

Very nice. I got this one from a friend a fews years back:

Its now mounted on a BBi and in full Tarkin uniform. Those Hasbro heads were indeed too large.

Wow....very cool. I would love to kitbash a Tarkin one day. He's just such an intense character, with Peter Cushing's sharp features adding a menacing touch that sticks with you. He's be nice to have on the shelf.

no kidding!!! if you like how they introduced him in ROTS i recommend reading Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader. they show how Vader and Tarkin began their awkward alliance/ friendship.
