I know what you mean. But that's Sideshow logic for you, and don't get me wrong, I love Sideshow, it's products and the folks that work there.

But seems like they've put out what will undoubtedly be an expensive piece that no one really asked for, which will no doubt sit on second chance for ages (cough, Endor troops, cough), and may well affect the viability of The Emperor and Chair, which I'm sure would sell out easy.

I'd certainly buy the Emp set up, but have no interest in this at all. However I guess others will love it, so each to their own.

I'd like to think the plan was to use this as a test run to iron out problems before going for the Emperor, but from past experience (Make a load of floppy Iconic Stormtroopers, then sort the body out for the Clown Shoe Computer game figure!) I guess not.

Hmmm, sorry that turned into a bit of a rant. I'm off work sick and feeling narcky!

$145 for that chair... YIKES.

But, to be fair that is a very nice looking piece. Probably about right when considering the Cobra one is $200.

Not for me, but if the Emperor and throne is $225 I'll be happy.

Yeah. I know SSC likes to surprise us now and them, but the fact we never heard anyone say "I want a Thrawn with a throne" should have told them they might be making a bad choice.

Ordered the Ex... i'm still on the fence b/c I love Thrawn, but not sure about the price. Yes, it's fair. But 4th Qtr. might get busy quick.

This figure now is the greatest news of all at this year's con, because if this loser (sorry those who like the character ) gets his throne, ROTJ Emperor is certain to get it

The throne is really nice, but sits up too high IMHO...the chair looks like it's about to swallow him. I'll go with a stranding Thrawn for now

I've ordered both, but will likely cancel the chair as its a) too expensive and b) too large. Maybe they'll size it down, though.

Same here. That chair is huge, and I just can't justify giving a EU character that much shelf space. I already have to rotate main characters.

...gotta love the EU ...and this guy is one of the most famous EU characters...

the exclusive is nice but no way id pay 145 bucks extra for 'furniture' for my figs...this may have been able to fly for the emperor but not for this dude...

In my opinion...I wish it was that way...only the original trilogy....the prequels blew...whether you want to admit it or not...it took me awhile but I finally came to my senses...all of this other stuff feels like second rate. To me its like when I was young and collecting 80's figures..they excited me..then I would go to a toy store and all they had were the "Droids" figures..kind of a let down at the time..I know they are worth a bit now, but at the time they were garbage.
