Re: Grand Admiral Thrawn 1/6!!

The Thrawn trilogy sucked. Kevin J. Anderson is a much better writer than Zahn. Read the Jedi Academy trilogy instead.

He looks like he should be a in a Star Trek movie, Im sure Kirk would ^^^^ him, lol

The Thrawn trilogy spanked the Jedi Academy series and the JA series likely wouldn't even exist if not for the success of the Zahn novels. Is that the only series you could find in Books on Tape? :p

Re: Grand Admiral Thrawn 1/6!!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there were little critters that 'pushed back' the force. And this guy that could figure out how to defeat an enemy by looking at their paintings and sculptures.
The only approach Zahn did that I agree with was showing how Palpatine had other agents doing his bidding.

The problem with the EU is the problem with all SCI FI, it gets too convoluted.

Well, the problem with the PT and OT are the big gaping holes. :lol So I'd say they merge nicely.

Re: Grand Admiral Thrawn 1/6!!

Thrawn is my favorite EU character because of how different he was, he was very interesting. They certainly need to tone down the blue on him though and maybe have his eyes light up. :) Also, add the shoulder pauldrons too.

And the Ysalamiri NEEDS TO BE ON A NUTRIENT FRAME. Not just draped over the shoulders. Grrr.

The ysalmiri are silly, i'll credit you that. but they're no worse than Midichlorians.

As for how thrawn defeats his opponents, He's using interpretive psychology to analyze his opponents for a central social flaw, and exploiting that flaw within his strategy. and as weird as it sounds, It's not exactly impossible.

On the topic of the figure's flaws, If i had no other choice, i'd take him just as he is, and deal, HOWEVER since sideshow is generaly willing to listen to reason, i do hope that anyone who is going to SDCC, TALK to sideshow about toning down the blue a little bit, and adding his missing Shoulder epaluettes.

While I'm really unfamiliar with the character... I thought this was a cool bash from a OSW contest:

If the exclusive is the chair I'm going to completely pass on him, not because I don't like it, but because I like it a lot, but would cost a fortune shipped to Europe so better save the money for other things.
