Amazon is selling the Mitsubishi WD-65733 for $1,723.68.

That price includes a FREE matching stand for the television. They usually cost around $400 and are nice quality.

No tax, free shipping.

You cannot beat this deal if you are looking for a large HDTV.

Just thought I would post.

The 73" version is also only around $2600 with free stand/shipping, not tax.

Both great deals.

Price is right for sure, but the reviews put me off in regards to possibly getting a buzzing machine.

There is a fix for that, so you could have that issue fixed under the warranty. I am getting my Mits.73833 on Friday and can't wait.

Thanks for posting Gru. I for one really appreciate being made aware of all these deals. Unfortunately this is the worst time ever for me to see these deals.

I'll be upgrading my TV in the spring and I hope another great deal like this comes around.

They are showing it for 1524.68 (I assume that is without the deal). It is a DLP. Very tempting.

Amazon is up to $1799 now with free stand for the 65".....however, the 73" is now $2499 with free stand.

As for the "buzz" issue, there is a fix for it.

You cannot find a better deal than this IMO. From the reviews over at AVS, the picture is top notch too.

Just don't use the built in speakers. They are awful.

One review said the TV seemed to run really hot as well and the guy had to put external fans on it as well. It's an awesome deal, but the reviews don't seem to solid. That may be why this TV is on such a great price deal now.

Still, for the money it's hard to beat.

I just hope people realize just how large a 65" screen is when you get it inside your home. Unless it's in a large family room or home theater it could actually be TOO big.

My ex flipped out when the 65" Hitachi arrived at our house a couple years ago. :lol

Thats very true. I live in a relatively small place, 3BR total living space just under 1400 sqft. Living room probably only 300. My current 42" Mitz and 2 floor standing speakers just barely fit into a perfect little nook in the corner. I'd have to use a much more obtrusive place if I upgraded, cutting into my already small space.

Not interested in a new TV (I love mine) but I am interested in the "buzz" issue since i'm an electronics freak. Whats the deal and what's the fix?

The electrical tape solution was for a thermal sensor that runs to the ballast and is for overheating issues.

The Ferrites are noise-less after the tape.

I'm set for TV's at the moment but I appreciate the heads up. Thanks! :rock

That goes for everyone and anyone that can post any HD deals.

I believe the 65733 has it more than the 73733 but both are known to have it.

The 734 series also can have it.

The 833 series do not.

Sweet...I guess I don't have to worry on Friday when my 73833 shows up.

Got my 73833 set yesterday (not a part of this Amazon deal) but a replacement for my three year old defective 62525 set.

Here is the old setup.

And the new setup.

Love the new set...watched Transformers HD-DVD and then played Halo 3 with my roommate last night until the wee hours of the morning with the surround sound cranked.

The only drawback is the finish is a piano black like the PS3, so it shows dust very quickly.

Anyone in/near the Atlanta area interested in a 65" Hitachi HDTV? It's almost brand-new (in limited use less than 2 years). It's a RPTV. Model # is 65s500, I believe. I just have no room for something this big these days, what with the divorce and all the moving. It's a beast. I'd let it go for $800-1000.
