Bad movie doesn't get a bad sequel. Duh.

Source The Hollywood Reporter

Moritz has five more big-budget studio pictures set for release during the next 18 months, beginning with Sony's 21 Jump Street -- a comedy remake of the 1980s TV show that opens March 16, four days after its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival.....

THR: Is The Green Hornet an example of a movie that wasn't liked enough to warrant a sequel?

Moritz: The problem wasn't that. The movie did almost $250 million and was actually very well liked, but we made the movie for too much money. One, we made it in L.A. for certain reasons, and two, we decided to go to 3D -- that added another $10 million. If I had done it in a tax-rebate state and not done 3D, it would have been considered a huge financial success for the studio. So we're not making a sequel right now.

Really? :monkey4

I couldn't even make it through the first one. I rented it and stopped half way. :lol

Was the worst of the movies I saw last year in the theater and didn't need a sequel.

:goodpost:

It was up there... Even though the Green Lantern was also critically panned, can you imagine if the original idea of Jack Black as Hal Jordan would have happened? It would have been like this car wreck.

Sometimes campy with a dose of Cameron Diaz doesn't work. Or is that always? :dunno

That could have been really bad if they went that way.

Cameron Diaz was Horrendous in this movie, I couldn't stand her, omg... she was God awful...

I went into this (on Netflix) with amazingly low expectations and liked it enough. Not enough to get a sequel but enough to not say I hated it. Rogen was definitely the low point, Diaz was useless as she commonly is but I thought the actor playing Kato worked and Waltz was pretty good.

Thought the movie was fun. It was neat to see a comic movie that didn't try to be all real world serious business.

But isn't she like that in every movie she comes out with now?

she always is but this one pissed me off to a new level, i mean, she is supposed to be the sexy secretary, give me A BreaK! seriously...:monkey4
for Seth to totally fall in love, it was so fake it was pathetic.

then she was supposed to be the brains, this movie, just for that, deserves all the hate it got,
i am kinda glad is not getting a sequel

I can't stand her in any movie she's in. :monkey4

i really liked there's something about Mary and the mask, then, that was it, those were the only two movies she was cool,

green hornet was the worst Cameron Diaz performance I've seen,
