I could have put this in Horror, but I thought this might be a better place for it.

I am going back and forth on what I want to wear, Batgirl's outfit, or Black Cat's. I do prefer BatGirl. But I cannot find the style I'm looking for.

Does anyone know a great place to find top notch DC (or Marvel for those looking) costumes out there?

Gotta go fan made or custom made for top notch DC stuff, unfortunately. Then again it's pretty much that way for all costumes now. The mass market stuff (Rubies, etc) is... blech.

Well it looks like I'm going to have to go with the new 52 without all of the purple if I want to throw together something decent. But I love the purple. :(

I know some people who make an awesome and completely authentic replica of Yvonne Craig's Batgirl costume from the 60's show. But it's quite pricey (like $500+). My gf got a custom-made Linda Carter Wonder Woman commissioned from them and it's fantastic.

And, I agree, purple Batgirl FTW.

Noo, not the full on purple for this gal. I like the one I posted the photo of. :D

Well, I know someone who can make the cowl. You'd just have to figure out the rest. Know any seamstresses?

Okay let me know about that, because it's hard to find! And no I don't. But what I may have to do is buy a generic cat suit, and then mod it. Get a cape, add the gold bat patch and gold belt, etc. I'll just have to leave the purple down the sides of the costume out. But at least the inside of the cape can still have purple.

I'll send you his info through Facebook. Here's a quick shot of one of his Batgirl cowls:

I believe he only does the cowl, but he may know who to contact about the rest, whether it's Stephanie, Barbara or whatever version. Depending on how much $ you're ready to spend and how much time it'll take I bet you could have one kickass Batgirl get-up.

Brilliant, truly! I'll find a way to make it work. And I don't mind spending IF it's something I can wear many years to come. If I can keep my figure. :monkey1

Oh yeah, his cowls will last a good while. Here's my Christina wearing her Pfieffer Catwoman (cowl by same guy):

Nah, forget about the cat. You'll see 20 other women with that.

S. Brown batgirl rules! :rock

Sorry, I don't any seamstresses. :lol
