Howdy folks! Welcome to Ol' Hanks wacky world of custom Icons! Make yourself comfortable! Drinks may or may not be served!

I'm a Marvel nut, and collected the Icons series...but since it's looking like that line is now dead, I've got to continue it on my own. First up...

This is my custom Hawkeye. The eyes, ears, and mask are all made with greenstuff. The chainmail bib was created with individually placed lines of sequin trim. The straps are all 1/4" rubberbands with small strips of masking tape applied. The boot tops and quiver are cloth, and the arrows are Q-tips with the cotton removed with cardboard feathers. The pouch is from a random 12" inch army figure. Finally, the bow is made from balsa, with a layer of GS over it...the handles are also GS, with a bit of fishing line to complete the job.

I agree. I would have kept collecting this line, especially for figs like Colossus, which they had in the works. Oh well.

Yep, this is from the Icons Cyclops.

Good news, I've read on another site that Hasbro is rumored to have Waves 5 and 6 still coming out sometime in Spring 09. Lets keep our fingers crossed...

Also, if this were a commision piece, what would be A fair price?I've gotten a few requests, but have no idea what to ask for. Any help?

Not at all weaksauce... just a different style of figure, but you work it extremely well. These actually look better than what has been released in the Icons series, but would still look good in a collection.

As for price, some custom Legends (small scale ones) figures sell for hundreds of dollars. If I were you, I'd put some on eBay and see what kind of response you get. I think you'd get some decent coin for these. And the more auctions you have up over time the more demand you might see.

I agree with galactiboy. Just put one up on ebay and see what kind of response you get. I havent really seen too many people do the Icons customs much less sell them on ebay so you might get a good response in my opinion. They look very well done so I would imagine they would go for a decent amount.

Thanks so much for the advice and kind comments folks. I have a Vision thats going up on E-Bay soon, hopefully it will do well. Ill post some pics of it when the cape is back from the tailor.

I agree... your work is great man! Not at all weak. You should certainly put some of this on the Bay, you'll make a killing.

Im just selling all mine atm in the For Sale section but yours give me food for thought about that.

Removed the Icons Human Torch's fire and sanded the uniform circle off. Pinned in QS's wild hair, and basic repaint. Hope you like.
