Have you ever broken a statue?

I have. Which statue did you break. btw - super-glue is a good friend of mine.

Diablo 3 Overthrown - a tiny part of the stones that is the base chipped, chipped of tip of the axe but glued it back on perfectly.

WOW diorama - chipped a part of the rogues legging. Super-glue again but it's not invisible like on D3.

Small statues chip easier.

Cracked off one of Venom's fingers on the 9 inch Spider-man vs. Venom.

On a 9 inch Spawn resin statue, I broke his ammo belt and bent his cloak tip. Super-glue to the rescue.

Dammit! I hate breaking ____. But I move my pieces around to look at them. You know, if I want to read comics in my living room, I'll bring my Punisher comiquette there to enjoy it.

Thank goodness not yet. But everytime I move a few around I bang up the weapons, fingers into each other. Lesson learn do it extra slow and careful or you will have a broken statue.

Nothing myself, but I sold my Terminator PF awhile back and UPS put a huge hole through the box and damaged the statue. Useless idiots.

Haven't broken anything. Accidents happen, but when I'm dealing with my collectibles, I'm always 200% careful.

I've done that to the SAME piece....only 3 times instead of 1.

While I was setting up my ARH Leonidas the end cap of his spear fell off and broke in two. Thank heavens for super glue. You'd never be able to tell now.

Last weekend was dusting my statues & moved a Batman Black & White (Forget which one but will get pics later) & he comes off the base so lifted him off & started dusting get to his right leg & "pop" off it comes in my hand

Now it's not really a break in the sense of the word as it's basically just come off & will need gluing back.
It's clean no jagged lines & you can see how it just pops back into place.
I suspect the glue has just softened over time & a little too much pressure meant it came away.

It's quite hard to explain so like I said I'll get some pics up but it's an easy fix & probably won't even be noticeable once it's back in place.

Where do I start...

Hulk LSB: Was dusting while I was sitting it down his bang caught my shirt and snapped.

Carnage LSB: Tendril #1 Cracked in half. Dropping it didn't do the job. It was when I noticed that it was low sitting and tried to move higher and it cracked.

Wolverine Comiquette: Dusting the statues and the dust rag snagged the head and chipped the paint.

Diablo Overthrown: The EX. Head beard, was placing it on the statue and the strength of the magnet pull caught it when it was lined up correctly.

Bowen Maestro & Retro Green Hulk: Broke attachment pieces

Hulk Comiquette: Wiping it with the micro fiber towel and snagged apart of the base. Causing a chip to come off.

Just fluke thing tend to happen to me when it comes to some of my statues.

I've broken 4 statues in my life time. All preventable One of them though was a falty base which my statue dropped & broken her leg

I broke the very first statue that I got. I was, at the time, only used to Japanese PVC figures where you can pick up the piece by the body and the stand comes with it... can you see where this is going?

So, I picked up my Emma Frost Com by the body, and the stand and cape went to the ground.

Luckily, the only thing that happened was some pieces broke off the cape on the bottom and in the back. I glued all the pieces that I could find back, and you can't even really tell from the front that it's broken.


Also, recently, while I was replacing all of my statues into their places after installing my light system. I was tired and I fumbled my AH! Mystique Com a little. A few pieces broke off of her right arm. I glued them in the best that I could, but it's not pretty. Luckily, from the front there's only one seam that show's, but it's in shadow while on display.


A hair strand on one of my small Emma Frost busts had to be glued back on a couple of times. That was a pain in the ass to get to hold.

Was moving my statues around then hit a light saber on darth talon, the blades on psylocke hit vampi, then the blades ran into she hulk, many minors bumps. Luck no breaks yet. I have all my statue clog together on one table. There's no space at all between them.
