I just saw this statue on the HCG site. Maga is releasing another Rocky statue. This one is from the first Rocky film. Rocky in his grey sweats with his arms raised in the air. The base is the steps from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The statue is 15 inches with base, and $169.99. It's about time that someone did a statue from the best Rocky film.

Really hope that a statue or a Hot Toys figure is released with Rocky in street clothes from the original Rocky. That would be the ultimate rocky collectible.

Yeah i saw this, looks pretty good and as you said about time we go something like this. This will be on my pre order list.

Sorry. I love Rocky, but that is the ugliest statue I have ever laid eyes on.

I respect everyone's right to have their own opinions, but ugliest statue you've ever laid eyes on lol, Come on, that can't be true, what's wrong with this statue? I think it looks pretty accurate in that it shows the character in the famous pose on the steps, it's very basic because that's the why Rocky dressed to workout. I think this is a great piece, but am not a professional art critic like you, so what do I know.

hehehe.

This statue will attract flies.

Boring colors, base and sculpt. I am not sure how HCG stays in business.

Maybe its just me, but I would rather have a replica of the actual statue.

Nobody said I was a professional art critic; I did not mean to hurt your feelings. I'm sorry.

My feeling aren't hurt lol I just think the piece represents an important moment in the film, if they added colors to it, it wouldn't be accurate. This could be one of those statues that looks better in hand. Any why I respect the fact that you think it's the ugliest statue ever made.

You're right on HCG, a lot of their stuff isn't very good, and you wonder how they stay in business. I got the Rocky III 1/6 statue, and even though I love Rocky, the statue had one of the worst paint jobs. I guess I am just hoping and preying for a high quality Rocky statue. Maga is usually pretty good, and his Rambo IV statues are really great, so who knows how this one will turn out.

man this rocky is all wrong. its looks like he is half asleep. are there any decent head sculpts from rocky 1

Congratulations! 4 posts total, and you're already one of the top art critics on the forum:cuckoo: you'll fit in perfect with the rest of the complainers:clap

There should be a rule that you need a minimum of 50 posts before you can start complaining about collectibles not being right. It just seems that a lot of people on here love to complain, and the sad part is that the majority of the time it just seems that the complaints aren't warranted.

Just my opinion.
