i purchased a pre-order statue from comicstatues.com following a link from the bowen designs website. they charged the cc november 6 and ive gotten no response from their customer service requesting when the item will ship. after contacting bowen, i was told that i'm not the only one who was wondering what's up with comicstatues.com.

tread with great caution if you're going to do business with them. their customer service is mia. :(

Were you able to get your cc credited back?

I've read a few complaints about comicstatues.com. Slow service. Also I think its pretty funny how it is soooo frowned upon if you mention other retailers on the SF forums....

I had a similar problem and I sent them an email; they got back to me within 2 days and shipped the item immediately after. I suggest emailing them or giving them a call, Danny is a good guy.

I've heard nothing but good things about comicstatues.com. Perhaps some emails fail to get through or something. Give him a call if there's a phone number available.

i haven't tried yet. i got the statue at such a good deal, i don't want to cancel until absolutely necessary. i'll contact my cc before 30 days are up from the charge date.

i'm so hoping that's true. i have left two phone messages and sent four e-mails since November 8. no reply. :(

bowen said that danny isn't around because of some personal problem but he is supposed to have others taking care of things. not to well i guess. and being that he is a bowen distributor, bowen is also interested in what's going on.

this is my first purchase with them. but 2 phone messages and four e-mails since november 8 has left me wondering.

tylerd,

I hope everything works out for you.

I've had a problem with comicstatues as well.

It wasn't until I reported them to Paypal that I got any response back from them. They gave me the "run around" for about 4 weeks. It seemed that they wanted the 30 day Paypal window to close so that I couldn't file a complaint against them.

Once I got their attention they threatened me with legal action even though I had proof they were in the wrong.

In the end I got what I ordered but their customer service was horrible not to mention that they acted like [but]holes.
