Veryon did the rooting and the paintwork?

Rooting looks good. Paintwork is pretty good. Doesn't quite look like 'paint' on his face. Smear doesn't work.

Yeah that's his work. He is a good artist for sure, it's just that on the Joker he's not the best.
It's sad that we'll never see this head painted by Heise and Yuan.
And personally I wanted to send it to John to see what he could do with it. :/

getting a nancy head done with black this year with the same vain as dao's, just waiting on the final invoice. always hated straight on eyes for him with this particular sculpt, side eyes gives the sculpt a lot more life to me

I'm torn between mike's head or johnwu's, but knowing me, I can likely wait to see what other is being offered up

Apparently we won't be able to send this sculpt to other artists, Veryon plans to do them all to lower the risk of copying/recasting...
Man what a bummer ! Instant turn off.

I wasn't really sold on the pouty Joker anyway. There's no shortage of options (and better I would say). He might have done you a favor there, lol.

I get where he's coming from though. Recasting is a ****** practice I think, unless it's for personal use.

Really getting tempted to start planning a second custom Joker, even before my first one is done. I just love exploring different poses, options etc.. too much to choose from.

Maybe long term I will.
But I need to exercise some self control.
For now...

The thing about buying a custom sculpt is it won't be enough. You'll then want a custom outfit, otherwise the figure won't be in harmony. Then you'll talk yourself into buying a more accurate pair of shoes etc..

If you're going to open pandora's box, you better be prepared.

I decided to get rid of one of my Bank Robber Joker (The one that was supposed to have an unmasked head) and I'm getting a DX19 and I will turn it into the Joker instead.
It's a project I wanted to do back in november 2023 but I had to sell my DX19 at that time to finance a bigger piece.
Now it's on again !

Here's a few color concepts I made :

Usually people that does this custom they go for a spray painted look for the suit but I feel like it's more of a Leto Joker thing to do and that Ledger Joker would carefully repaint Batman suit into a color patern that makes sense.

But it might look better in figure form tho...

Concept/experimental figures aren't exactly my cup of tea, but they do make for some interesting outcomes. I did enjoy some of Ryan's work. His Joker Grogu was particularly amusing.

@DiostaR any plans on adding a police uniform Joker in the mix? I always forget about that one. I think I saw something custom in the works, but I'm not so sure.

I don't think I would venture beyond the purple coat / bank robber myself.

The police uniform Joker is the only look that doesn't appeal to me actually, so I don't think I'll ever make one.
Instead of having too Bank Robber Joker I thought I might as well do something a little refreshing and go for a Batman Joker one.

I'm more than happy with my Topo BR that I modified myself.
