Heath Ledger without any make up cameo in the Original Dark Knight

So I was watching the Dark Knight to get ready for TDKR and I noticed in the restaurant scene where Bruce walks in and joins Rachel and Harvey that there is a couple at the right of the screen and the man looks like Heath.

Is this true? Is it common knowledge and I am just late to the game?

Some think it's him, others disagree. I don't think it is, as I understand that Ledger was really immersed in the role and stayed in character. The way he approached the role, I don't think he would have stripped himself out of the character to shoot a little secret restaurant cameo Easter egg. He was 100% invested in the Joker and wouldn't have done something like that.

Funny, i was watching 10 Things I Hate About the other night and both Heath and JGL were in it and i'm thinking, wow, do you guys realise you'll both be in an awesome Batman trilogy! But there they are, blisfully unaware of the future

There were rumours when he was first casts in TDKR that he would be the Joker.


As far as Heath. I guess it's not him. Watched the scene again and did not think it looked as much like him. Of course I watched said scene on a smaller screen but I will take the word of others and since it does not seem to be common knowledge I would guess it's not him.
